Stanjel a medieval town near Trieste invites you to experience medieval architecture where stone is basic constructing element, and among other the medieval castle, the church of St. Daniel and Ferrari's garden.
Our house is on the top of the hill.
The apartment - studio has the kitchen nieche with electric stove, portable electric oven, refrigerator, waterbolier, coffemaker, mixer. There are SATV and WIFI.
Outside is a terrace with table and chairs. BBQ afer request.
You can come to Stanjel by car (the easiest arrival). Stanjel is in the middle on the road between Sezana to Nova Gorica. Both of them are on the mororways, Sezana on the MW Ljubljana - Trieste, and Nova Gorica on the MW Ljubljana - Udine.
You can come by train or by bus from other slovenian places. We can come to the stations to take you and your luggage up to the town. You can come by train also to Trieste and we can pick you up there.
The nearest airports are: Trieste / Ronchi 50 km, Ljubljana / Brnik 110 km, Venezia 160 km.
We live next to the apartment and we are at your disposal every day. We can organise a trip with cars, cycles or walking, or prepare a picknick at home. We can give you all the information you need to spent your holidays in perfection.
Stanjel is important as an old town settled in the fortress. It was settled already in Iron Age and was important in Roman times. The town walls were made in medieval time as protection against Turks. The houses were at first military dwellings and were latter remade for inhabitants. The old water system is unique (made in stone). Ferrari's garden was made in 30s and is designed for rest.
The guests can arrive after 2 p.m. and are asked to leave till 10 a.m.
We allow pets with the fee of 5 € per night.
We do not alow smoking.
