Summary: cute room, lots of privacy, close to the train, wish we had a broom. would definitely stay again!
The neighborhood was mostly families with random young hipster transplants. The apartment was only about 10 minutes walking from the train, fine with a few bags but could take a lil while if you have more suitcases. Anisia and I arranged the key swap prior to our arrival and it was right where she said it'd be. The apartment is on the 3rd floor and shared with 2 others I believe. My boyfriend and I only ran into one of them who was kind enough to help us with the lock one night (the lock to the front door was a bit tricky; no lock to the bedroom but we experienced no issues with that, though I was nervous at first). We had clean sheets and basic toiletries. She was able to provide a towel, but you should bring your own if you plan on staying with another person. We had access to the kitchen which we only used to dish out our takeout. The microwave was a nightmare, I kid you not, but they did warn us. The description of this listing was pretty accurate. The bed is right by the window so you'll get all the sun. The room gets amazing light during the day. It pretty much looks like the pictures but is a little more worn in that I first thought. The only thing that really bugged me out was the dust. The whole apt and the room could use a once over with a broom or swiffer. I never met Anisia but she answered all my questions leading up to booking the place quickly and if I needed her for something I am confident she would have been available to help out. Didn't see any critters except a few ants by the window and a house centipede in the bathroom (typical ny house bugs).
