We originally planned to stay in either Angra or Praia da Vitoria but this place caught our eye in Biscoitos and decided to try a smaller quieter area. We could not be more happy with the decision. Jeronimo was there to greet us, we arrived late in the evening, he was a very helpful, very gracious host. He was there most of the time and had easy contact in case we ever needed anything. The house itself was pretty much brand new, was immaculate, new appliances and very comfortable for us (2 adults, 2 kids). Jeronimo has a nice little garden going with fruit trees, corn and has some chickens. The kids loved the chickens. Biscoitos is a terrific little town, the best natural pools, I think, a couple very good places to eat--we had good experience and Pedro's and really liked the Sopa and pizza at the Delina's bakery. The location is perfect, we had quick drives to the caves, to Angra to Praia, to some amazing views, we enjoyed watching the bull rope fighting, getting stuck behind a herd of cows, trying some great wine and eating fresh fish and the Alcatra (wow, so good).
Terceira was great, still so much of the old world culture preserved in Biscoitos and area around, what a pleasure to experience it. I highly recommend the house and host Jeronimo!
