No matter the day our house provides plenty. Rain or shine you'll have space to take advantage of the slower pace of the country just 3 miles south of Litchfield and 15 minutes north of Hutchinson on an organic vegetable farm!
The house is complete with a ton of natural light, original woodwork/floors, great bedding and fresh produce available during our season (May-October). Being that this is our workplace as well, we will likely be around outside!
A true farmhouse! You can imagine the farming family with six kids buzzing about. The house serves as HQ to rebelSoil, our organically-grown vegetable business. As the season progresses you'll see fields lush with edible diversity all around you. The house was built in 1922 and sits next to what was once the neighborhood schoolhouse built way back in 1887.
Inside, there's a classically small farm kitchen for fresh-from-the-farm creations and a breakfast nook to start your day. The kitchen spills out into the well-lit dining room where the long wooden table provides a solid foundation for awesome meals, conversation or cribbage/card playing. There is one bedroom off the kitchen/mudroom and two upstairs.
Our house is your house. Please, make yourself at home. The backyard is great, tree-lined on two sides and the old schoolhouse on another for privacy. You can catch a glimpse of the sunset through the trees from the large deck. And remember, we'll have breakfast items for you to whip up in the mornings. Enjoy!
When possible we will be here to greet you and help you with the nitty-gritty. Should there be any problems or questions about the house or surrounding area, of course, you can call. This is a working vegetable farm so chances are quite high that you'll see us around to irrigate, harvest or pack up for market when necessary. Thank you for understanding!
Again, our house is your house. Please love our place like we do- recycle, compost food waste and let us know if anything breaks!
