A wonderful two-bed cottage built in 1880 in the heart of Alverstoke village just 300m to the beach at Stokes Bay with views across to the Isle of Wight. Woodburner, original wooden floors, top quality mattresses and Egyptian cotton linens, pretty enclosed garden and spa bath. Enjoy village life by the sea.
Smoking is strictly not permitted inside the house and only allowed in the garden (please ensure butts are placed in the ashtray provided and emptied before you leave). Candles are not permitted indoors.
Visitors or additional guests not included on the reservation are not permitted in the property without prior permission. Parties and gatherings are strictly not allowed.
As it is a terraced cottage in the middle of the village with neighbours on either side and thin walls, it is important to be conscious of noise especially after 11pm. Noise travels through the walls and over the garden fence so you will hear the neighbours and vice versa - please be considerate and do not play loud music.
Take care of the wooden work tops in the kitchen. Do not cut on them, place hot pans on them or leave liquid spillages on the wood as they will stain.
Well-behaved dogs are allowed by prior arrangement (you MUST inform us in advance if you plan to bring a dog or other pet) but must not be left unattended and sleep downstairs - a dog crate and dog bowls are available if required. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the soft furnishings, and must not be left unattended in the cottage. Please clean up any mess your dog leaves behind in the enclosed garden. A maximum of two small/medium dogs or one large dog is permitted due to the size of the cottage.
Please treat my home as if it were your own, and if anything gets damaged or broken during your stay please let us know so that that it can be fixed or replaced before our next guests arrive.

I'm an endurance swimmer and I run a PR and event management company, Seagrass, specialising in international sailing and marine events. We work all over the world and over the last couple of years we've been using Air B&B to find accommodation when my team are working overseas. It's always nicer to stay in a home rather than a hotel when you are working away. I live between my super cosy cottage in Gosport and my penthouse apartment in Colonia St Jordi, which is flooded with light and has wonderful views of the Mediterranean from the lovely roof terrace. They are both really special places and it is a pleasure to be be able to share them with other people. As they say in Spain, mi casa es tu casa!
