Lake-front retreat w/ unbelievable sunsets, swimming & kayaking, in area of million dollar homes, near Clemson Univ, 2 hrs from Atlanta. Private park-like setting for a couple's getaway. Updated one bedroom small cottage w/ livingRm, kitchen, bath, laundry, AC/heat.

The entire property is included w/ your cottage rental; 1.1 acres & 800 ft of lake shoreline, a dock, a pier, a sunset deck, a grilling pavilion. It's a private lake experience; nothing really compares, includes kayaks & SUPs.

Holiday Haus - A small cottage with everything you need for a relaxing lake getaway; ideal for guests who appreciate an active watersports lifestyle that is fun, safe and environmentally conscious.

1970-era basic cottage, updated (again) in 2021 with fresh paint, flooring, furniture and HVAC. Queen mattress in the bedroom for a comfortable night’s rest; living room with couch, recliner chair, Flat screen TV etc, all of the essentials in the kitchen and laundry, bath with shower. It is a pretty cool tiny house but what is so special is everything else. Again there is over an acre of land with 800 feet of shoreline - the outdoor spaces are amazing and are shown in the pictures.

Very Private - interaction with neighbors is minimal as the landscaping and spacing between properties provides a large buffer. Close the Gate and turn off your phone and reset your life at Pine Island Point!

Over time we have realized that our cottage has its limitations - it is not for everyone. It is however, ideal for a couple's retreat - one couple getting away, relaxing and focusing on each other. Two younger children can be accommodated by the "murphy-bed", however, it becomes too crowded with teenagers. So, while the amenities could accommodate fifty people, the cottage is best for one or two adults, or a couple with a young child, or 2 people and a small dog (1). That's who has the best time at our place so that our target guest!

It is a truly a small cottage - you won't be comfortable if you attempt to bring too many people! Two adults & 2 small children & 1 non-shedding canine pet under 25 lbs is the max - sorry no water-dog breeds, cats or other animals. Please observe these rules.

If you need clarification - by all means message me - but my flexibility is very limited as 60% of my guests do not have or like pets.

Young children are free so if you are a couple with a child you are also an ideal guest for Pine Island Point, conversely group events just don't work for us - we will not approve any group activities.

This is a "Lake-Experience" Destination, with a 270 degree view of the water; almost any direction you look there is water! Including 800 feet of shoreline and over an acre of lawn to enjoy. This is not a residential or in-town neighborhood with just a sliver of lake frontage - this is Lake Keowee the way it used to be... the best you can imagine - very retro!

If your focus is on the outdoors, then this is the place for you - this property is all about enjoying Lake Keowee. There is a grilling pavilion with a propane grill & Traeger wood pellet smoker, a social pavilion with seating, tables and a Breo firepit, there is a sunset deck for evening viewing, a fishing pier for casting, a boat/swimming dock, and a beach to launch your kayak.

There is plenty of space to spread your wings, but remember we don't accommodate groups or events and parking is limited. We absolutely will not accept boats, trailers or RVs. While there are lots of out-door amenities for you to enjoy, we do not offer this property for you to host an event.

Exceptions by prior request: If you are a couple w/ family or friends in the area you can certainly have them over for day time lake activities, a BBQ, a swim, etc. - this is not hosting a party - this is having family over. All vehicles must fit in our small drive way (5 cars max). This kind of activity needs to be outlined for me in advance and there may be a clean-up fee or deposit required. Our pricing is established and based on one couple enjoying our property.

Other things to note: No long term rentals available - this is a weekend get-a-way destination. 3-day stays are ideal... 7-day max! No boats, No RVs, No group events. No cats and no dogs over 25 pounds - no shedding or water dog breeds as we cannot accommodate and maintain the cottage to a high standard when pet hair is dispersed throughout or rover has sprinkled water throughout the cottage. Just can't and won't make exceptions.

I say all of the above because I want to be realistic and create the right expectations on your part. I have found that by over emphasizing this information & description, I am able to match up correctly with guest expectations. Plus equipped with this information you can better pick the Airbnb property that suits your plans!

Pine Island Point is a really fun place for the right guests and that is typically an individual, a couple or a small family wanting to relax at the lake. I said fun place - really... read the reviews guests say it is an incredible place.

This is an ideal retreat for the "Kale & Kayaker" type! It's great for swimming, kayaking, SUPs, meditation, reading, writing, recovery, and relaxing. It's ideal for guests that want to spend time outdoors, lawn games, grilling, sun-bathing, swimming, fishing, exercising, yoga, meditating -- these are all activities that will work well at Pine Island Point. And there is No-Better Sunset on Lake Keowee - so grab your glass of wine and meet on the deck to watch the sun go down!

Important Things to Note:

If you are looking for indoor amenities, luxury accommodations or a boating venue this is not the property for you. This is a basic one-bedroom, one-bath cottage - a Lake Retreat and a Tiny-House Experience all in one! So if you are more interested in counting shooting stars vs comforter thread count this is the place for you!

Given it is a 1970-era cottage you should note that the ceilings are lower than modern houses and the hallway is narrow. Tall people or plus-sized guests might find the cottage a little uncomfortable. This is direct feed back from guests who have suggested that I make this point here in the description - "Tiny House mean tighter fit"

Hence why we restrict the number of guests and the size of the pets.

Pine Island Point is an unrestricted area on the best part Lake Keowee near the exclusive Cliffs of Keowee Springs and the Reserve Golf Club. PIP is an awesome peninsula with water everywhere you look. A private road leads to breathtaking lake vistas - over 800 ft. of shoreline for your private enjoyment.

This is a secure area that offers hard to find flat landscape for easy strolling around the property - every inch is easily accessible by foot and is large enough to consider it exercise to see the entire property. - this is the real lake experience - somewhat retro -- Park-Like!

I have owned multiple properties on this peninsula for over 18 years including residing there full time for over five years. As a result I know all my neighbors well - this is a great place to relax - come stay and enjoy Lake Keowee.
