Beautiful pre-war elevator building with laundry near Riverside Drive in historic Washington Heights.
Located in a safe, quiet neighborhood overlooking the river near Fort Washington Park (accessible by foot, only a short walk). Because we are near Columbia's medical and public health campuses, lots of doctors and students live here. (I am a Teachers College Columbia grad school alum myself)
This is a pet-friendly building, meaning you will see many dogs in this building. WELL-BEHAVED, trained dogs may be welcome in this unit on approval only. (MESSAGE ME FOR QUESTIONS ABOUT DOGS)
This is a one-bedroom, railroad style apartment, which means each room leads in to the other. The bedroom is separate and is equipped with the basics (dresser, nightstand, window). The mattress is an incredibly comfortable memory foam mattress, so you'll be sure to get great sleep. The room is quite small, but that is normal for Manhattan.
The bathroom is situated next to the bedroom and is quite small but has everything you need. Towels, wash cloths and soap will be provided. Towels can be found in the closet next to the kitchen.
The kitchen is equipped with the basics that you need to cook, if you so choose. There is a microwave, a gas stove/oven (use sparingly and do NOT forget to turn off!) and a toaster. There are cups in the cabinet, silverware in the drawer and paper plates/bowls for you to use on the pantry. The fire escape is accessible through the kitchen window.
The living room is located next to the kitchen and has all of the essentials that you will need. There is a pull-out couch, a bookshelf, a Smart TV with access to basic channels, netflix and hulu, a desk and another closet.
P.S. The neighborhood is generally incredibly quiet and relaxing but as the weather gets better, summers can get a bit noisy...
but that's NYC for you :-)

Because I will be traveling, I will be available via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), iMessage or airbnb if you have any questions. For this reason, I am unable to greet guests although I would love to! Nevertheless, I have some really amazing friends who will meet you to give you keys :-).
This is a pre-war building, which means it has all of the kinks and charms of a building that has not been renovated. The original molding is still here, the floors will creek on occasion and you will see some wear and tear in the walls. That's all part of the beauty in living in a charming New York City building that was built long, long ago :-)
Please clean up after yourselves. We are all adults.
Please respect the space.
Please respect the other tenants in the building.
Please help conserve and save energy by turning lights off when you are not in a room or you leave.
Please be mindful when using the air conditioning (turn OFF when you leave).
Please use gas sparingly.
