Our place is definitely unique; country enough that there will probably be chickens pecking in the yard, but still have wifi :) only 11 miles west of Mountain View, folk music capitol of the world. Firepit, gas grill, and large covered porch will allow you to enjoy our laid back atmosphere. We have a variety of animals and will be glad to give you a tour, as well as guide you on a short walk to check out our view of the valley. Come stay in our lil cabin and make yourself at home!
Close proximity to Mountain View but has country feel... Enjoy a campfire in the evenings, cook out on the deck with a gas grill, and still be able to enjoy the local attractions such as Blanchard Springs Caverns, the Ozark Folk Center, Loco Ropes, and the many festivals in Mountain View. The town square which has a variety of shops, including antique shops, a boot store, a thrift shop that supports our local humane society, and a hippy store.. complete with rope sandals and tye dye clothing. The square also has 3 restaurants and an ice cream shop in case you get hungry :) Strolling around in our little town you may also find musicians picking and grinning, playing the folk music our area is famous for.
Private cabin that shares our land. Cabin has upstairs loft with a full size bed and a trundle bed, kitchenette well set up for light cooking, stand up shower with plenty of fresh towels, and cozy living space with full sized pullout couch, television and DVD player with small movie library, stereo with CD player and several CDs from local musicians. We also provide our guests with interaction with our animals upon request only please, as well as fresh eggs from our friendly flock, juice, coffee and other breakfast items. Seasonally we are proud to share whatever our garden and fruit trees provide.
We like to interact with our guests but leave the amount of interaction up to them... We respect their wishes for privacy.. But would be glad to show them around and let them see why we love it here!
We are animal lovers. We have a variety of animals that share our land... both wild and domestic. We drive slowly out of respect for them as well as our elderly hearing impaired neighbor that you may see walking in the fields or driveway, we appreciate you doing the same.
We have a leave it as you found it policy. Please wash dishes, and pick up after yourselves... Just like you were at home. Used linens and towels are to be put in the hamper on the porch. Guests are welcome to keep late hours.. Just quietly after 10:00 and we will do the same for you!
Clay and I are country people that love the outdoors, animals, and like to share our little bit of heaven. We are also motorcycle lovers and can point out some great local rides that showcase our beautiful area.
