Downtown off of 17th Avenue Bar and Retail District
1 bedroom apartment with spacious balcony facing south
Fully furnished and available May 11th to June 3rd. Could be available for Stampede.
Ely was not there. His apt is on the first floor and it is in an older building that is not sound proof. the location is downtown and we were woken up in the early hours by people going home from bars. It was a nice size apt except the kitchen cupboards needed to be cleaned as well as some of the light switches in the apt. I had to ask Ely's friend to give us extra towels as Ely had left only one towel and one facecloth. We had a small trailer attached to our van and there was not parking big enough in the back of the house. We had to drive around for several blocks to find parking. Also we felt we paid too much for the quality of the accomodation.
As a one night visitor Liz sure has a lot to say. I was being considerate by offering her the option to cancel because staying with a trailer downtown next to 17th for one night is not advisable. I had a feeling she would have issues. She knew upon booking her van + trailer would not fit in the apartment parking space as it is downtown and would have to park on the street. She was well informed of the noise being in the location and staying in an older building. She chose to stay anyway. The cupboards and 'lightswitch' are stained due to 25 years of apartment rentals, not because they weren't cleaned and sanitized before arrival. My mistake for providing one towel and for the price. She received the benefit of being charged for a single person rather than two at one of lowest rates in the city.
Ely helped us get our keys through a friend and made our stay comfortable with the various amenities possible. The convenience of booking only a couple days ahead of time was really nice. The location is quite perfect with a very short walk to 17th avenue. Would definitely consider staying here again if I am back in the area.
