Hawthorn Cottage is quietly situated in the centre of the pretty and historic village of Glencoe. The house is modern, spacious, warm and welcoming with all the comforts of home.
The house and garden offer plenty of space to chill out; on the ground floor you will find a cosy, split level, sitting room, twin bedroom (2 single beds), shower-room (large walk in shower), lovely modern well equipped kitchen, ceramic hob, fan oven, microwave, fridge & dishwasher.
On the upper floor is the large lounge from which you can fully appreciate the panoramic mountain views and watch the amazing skies; double bedroom (1 double bed) and bathroom (with jacuzzi bath)

Food provisions (and beer, wine etc) can be bought at the little grocery shop which is a couple of minutes walk from the accommodation and also at the Co-op in Ballachulish (1 mile)

The Glencoe Café ( 5 mins walk) for breakfasts, light lunches, home-made cakes & scones & great coffee.
Crafts & Things ( 10 mins walk) the café serves breakfast/lunch/homebaking and the gift shop offers an eclectic selection of crafts and more.
The award winning Laroch Bistro & Bar in Ballachulish (1 mile)...Michelin chef serving up quality bistro fair in a relaxed, friendly environment...live music some weekends.
The Clachaig Inn ( 2 miles)....a busy 'climbers' pub with good food & live music at weekends
Loch Leven Seafood Café in North Ballachulish ( 7miles) a must for seafood lovers.
Loch Leven Hotel, North Ballachulish (3 miles) good pub food.

The Old Inn...Appin
There are two very good Information Centres...The National Trust Centre & cafe in Glencoe (1 mile out of the village, southbound) and the Quarry Centre & cafe, Ballachulish ( 1 mile, northbound)
Also in the village is the Glencoe Museum...well worth a visit, and the monument to the fallen MacDonalds at the Massacre of Glencoe.
The beautiful Glencoe Lochan & forest walk is 10 mins away and the pretty River Coe offers picnic spots and pools for swimming.
This is just a little sample of the immediate vicinity...lots to explore here and beyond :-)
We are 20 minutes from Fort William; 40 minutes from Oban; 1hr Isle of Mull; 2 hours Isle of Skye, Inverness, Glasgow, Stirling, Perth; 3 hours Edinburgh.
The house and garden is entirely for your own use.
We live nearby so are 'on hand' if you need need us.
Accommodation only, no meals are provided.
Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar & milk are provided.
Kitchen towels/washing up liquid/dishwasher tablets are provided.
Salt, pepper, oil and a small selection of herbs and spices are provided.
1 hand & 1 bath towel, per person, is provided.
Shoes off in the house please!
Please let me know of any breakages/damages/spillages in order to resolve any issues prior to your departure.
On departure day...
Please leave the cottage as you find it, clean & tidy.
