This completely separate apartment, an 1800 sq. ft. unit has great views of the Mesa and the Pacific Ocean and looks down on Hendry's Beach just outside of Hope Ranch.

Note: If you have more guests (or want more privacy) and would like to rent the 3rd bedroom also, please let us know. If it's still available, you can rent it for $50 extra /night. The third bedroom of the apartment is an attached unit with its own bath and entrance. Please inquire before booking, availability is not guaranteed upon check-in date.

Follow the "Garden suite" sign, the unit is located to the left side of the house as you approach it. (if you are facing the street level house ). Just past the patio, there is a staircase. Follow the staircase down one flight. The second door on the right is the extra room (if you have also rented this) and the third door on the right is the front entrance to the garden suite. There is a patio with two hanging flower pots leading to the door. The patio light should be on as well as a light inside. The unit is left open as we are in a very safe neighborhood so we don't need to meet up for check-in. The keys are on the dining table. Please leave door unlock and keys on the table when you check out.

Surround Yourself With Acres Of Flowers, Exotic Fruit Trees and Island Views. This 1,800 sq ft, two-bedroom, two-bathroom place can easily sleep six. The shared hot tub and deck with fireplace and BBQ are nice for an evening of relaxing and looking at the sunset. Have fresh-squeezed orange juice in the morning after you walk around the grounds and gather some fabulous fruit. Parking is in a quiet cul-de-sac.

There is an acre of paths and terraces to wander and pick fruit and flowers, if you wish. Entry to the apartment is down one flight of stairs from street level and the rest of the property is extensively terraced and planted with many fruit trees and flowers.

This apartment has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed and a queen sofa bed. The other bedroom has a queen bed, bath, and separate entrance. If you have more guests, you may also rent the Sun Room, which is an attached private unit with a Murphy double wall bed and its own bath and own entrance.

There is also a music room down the hill where you can plug in your iphone/iphone to listen to music and relax.

Check in after 3:00 pm on the date of arrival and check out time is 11:00 am on the date of departure. However, if the home is vacant the previous day, an earlier check-in time can be arranged.

The number of people occupying the home shall be no more than 6_.

Everything Michael mentions in his listing is accurate. Feels and is a home, decorated with distinguished items from world travel. Each bedroom is large with plenty of extra seating, lots of storage space, gleaming wood floors and rugs with runners placed discretely. Plenty of mirrors, we were there for a wedding,.... needed the mirrors. Views are accurate, and the garden is truly expansive. We did not cook, but the kitchen is fully appointed and clean.

My friends and I stayed here for a bachelorette weekend. We rented the whole 2nd floor of the home, which is completely separate from the 1st and 3rd floors. Upon booking, I didn't realize it was setup this way, but it worked out fine. The house has a beautiful view and backyard, much better than I anticipated. The beds were super comfortable and the host was easy to get in touch with. I'm happy we rented out the additional bedroom/bathroom for privacy, so that we were able to take up the entire 2nd floor. Also, the location is wonderful-- State Street is just a quick Uber away.

This was a great place to stay - would highly recommend. The apartment is really spacious and beautifully decorated. A present of his home-produced wine awaited us (and was delicious). The gardens were delightful with a hot tub (which was great), views of the Pacific (stunning) and an abundance of fruit trees. My children especially loved picking their own oranges and then juicing them for the freshest squeezed orange juice each morning! The location is a short drive from Shoreline park and beach (would recommend the Shoreline cafe for great seafood burritos and shrimp tacos). This is a great place to stay - we had a lovely time.

There were 2 bottles of wine and beautiful fresh cut flowers from the garden. The neiborhood was very nice located I the hills near a nature park that was great for hiking. It was a 4 min drive to a very nice restaurant on the beach. 10 minutes from downtown. Great location with incredible views!!

Michael's place was amazing. The grounds are breathtaking as you round the corner for the garden suite you're greeted by two acres of gardens and ocean views. We were greeted with wine and the rooms were large and spacious. Exactly what my group of six women were looking for in a weekend getaway.

Michael seems to genuinely enjoy sharing his beautiful property and grounds with others. Fresh flowers were in the freshly cleaned garden suite. He picked a fresh bag of oranges for us. We had no problems but felt that he was readily available if needed.

I can't even begin to describe how much we enjoyed Mike's place. Absolutely beautiful property that was the perfect home base for the weekend. The pictures don't do it justice. Mike is very nice and his assistant Cloe was very helpful. The garden was definitely the highlight of the trip. If you don't stay here when you visit Santa Barbara you're doing it all wrong.
