It looks like a cupboard door and opens into Narnia. Well, maybe not, but it is surprising non-the-less! The spiral staircase leads to a bright attic room that has a lovely view across the city valley.
Only 15mins walk from the city centre.
The house is over 100 years old, it is the style of the workers houses of that time, perhaps otherwise known as 2-up/2-downs, or you may have seen them on Coronation Street?
The bedroom has a single bed with a guest bed underneath that can pop up to the same height as the top bed. So, a single room really but can have two people if a staying only a short time.
There is a desk, chair, lamp, bedside table and built in wardrobe, plus TV hairdryer and mirror.
There is a kitchen and living room, a shared bathroom (with shower), my bedroom and a guest attic room. There is a small decked area outside.
You may access all of the house except my bedroom on the first floor.
If I am around I will help you all you need. I find it important to help my guests make the most of their stay and will help you plan your days, transport etc where I can so that you can make the most of being in Sheffield. I don't plan to be your new best friend but welcome company if you want it.
There is a cat, and although I try not to let her in the attic she will sneak up there if the door is open. You must therefore not be allergic to cats.
Your room is your own, if you wish to stay long term it is best that you know that I will not be cleaning it. I am happy however to do your laundry, including bedding and towels (which are provided).
Please take your shoes off before you go upstairs.
Please do not leave your keys on the kitchen counter overnight for security reasons.

In my 40s but young at heart. I now work in commercial insurance and live in my home town with my one-eyed cat. But! I have travelled extensively and worked in other countries too.
I am actively involved in community activities and campaigns as well as tending my vegetable garden.
I have hosted many foreign students over several years now and find it rewarding and satisfying to help other people enjoy my city.
