Upstairs two bedroom, one bath apartment with open airy floor plan flooded with light. featuring beautiful hardwood flooring. Apartment recently remodeled with granite countertops and tile flooring in kitchen and bath, as well as marble bath and shower. Apartment has a portable AC unit to keep you cool.


Guests will have access to the lovely 2 bedroom upstairs apartment with inside access to the shared laundry room with coin op washer and dryer.
One garage space is available for your use, however, the garage is not large enough for 2 SUVs. If there is more than one SUV staying at the same time, garage parking will be on a first guest, first serve basis for SUVs or oversized vehicles . Street parking is available.

We had a great time. The house was nice; lovely neighborhood where my 21 month old and I walked around each morning; walking distance from the beach; quiet area. Host was very helpful and communication was prompt. All good! Thanks so much!

We loved the location and the unit. Very clean. Communication was prompt and clear. We will have to visit again. A real gem. Appreciate all the special touches (e.g. welcome basket with fruit).

We had a great time at the apartment. The location is perfect - in walking distance to the beach and nearby stores. The apartment was very clean, well equipped and the hosts very friendly and helpful! Great place to stay in CdM!

Very comfortable place to spend the week. The beach is a little more than a block, since you have to get to an access point and hike down (or drive and park), but still very walkable. The boogie boards, chairs, and umbrella for the beach were wonderful to have. Shade was a necessity in August. We very much appreciated the treats upon our arrival. Since we arrived late we didn't make it to the market. Very thoughtful. Shops were close. We even spoiled ourselves with breakfast from Chronic Tacos which was a short walk from the unit. (Delicious!!) Master bed was a little soft for my husband, but fine for me. Super soft sheets, and plenty of closet space for storing our clothes. A DVD player would have been nice... With kids, we brought movies, but didn't think of bringing a player or have a way to access Netflix, so we watched live cable tv (no skipping commercials!) A bonus with kids... Although this unit is upstairs, it is over the garage and laundry, so do not fear disrupting lower level neighbors with your movement above. Kids aren't always thoughtful that way, so it helped to realize this and not go crazy. Plenty of bath towels and supplies, even some quarters were available for laundry, but who wants to do laundry on vacation?! We left those for the next guest. This is our first Airbnb, and I have to say it was a great experience and we will do it again. Thanks to Laurie and Sandra for being such gracious hosts!

Great spot! Laurie was very accommodating about check in times. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Location was easy walking distance to beach or restaurants. We'd come back!

We loved our stay at Sandra's home. Just like the description says, the location near the beach was perfect for what we were looking for. Check-in was a breeze, everything was clean, and the home is beautiful.

I am the owner of this lovely beachside cottage (Triplex) and have been a resident in the Newport Beach/Corona del Mar area for the last 50 years, working and raising my family. My property manager and friend is Laurie Zahner who will be your host while you stay with us. She is a friendly outgoing mom of adult children who loves to use Airbnb as a traveler, loves to dance, go camping, and spend time with her husband, family and friends. The last two years she has participated in walking 1/2 marathons with her sister and cousins in different cities around the country. A California native, originally from West LA she now lives in nearby Long Beach with her husband, Eric. After high school she lived in Europe for several years. She has enjoyed traveling throughout most of the U.S. Some of her favorite travels include living in Europe for several years, and spending a month in 2010 traveling around Ireland, staying in B&B's with her sister, enjoying everything about the home of their ancestors. More importantly, for both you and me, Laurie is one of the kindest, most trustworthy people on this planet with lightning quick response while paying great attention to detail.

For more than 35 years, Sandra King served as the visionary chief executive officer of King Communications Advertising & Public Relations. She built her company from the ground up with ingenuity and determination, ensuring her business not only survived but thrived during three economic downturns. At a time when women were nearly non-existent on the business scene, she established her Newport Beach, California-based firm and oversaw its growth into a consistent award-winning agency. Prior to Sandra’s retirement in 2007, King Communications was one of the largest ad agencies in Orange County -- and the first to have a woman at the helm.
The firm’s strategic and successful marketing campaigns resulted in high client retention and award-winning work in brand identity, ad campaigns, brochures, direct mail and outdoor advertising. The company’s diverse client list included Mobil Land, Philip Morris Companies, University of California at Irvine, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Claris Software, Blue Cross of California, Boise Cascade, FHP Healthcare and the Mission Viejo Company, Koll International, G Companies, Mesa Management, Honda, Acura, Chrysler, Hawaiian Airlines and Golden West Airlines. The company’s logo design for America’s Cup was featured on all promotional items sold worldwide.

Working with the girls and watching their confidence grow proved especially meaningful. Her pro bono work also included involvement with the American Heart Association, City of Hope, Habitat for Humanity and the Building Industry Association.
Sandra holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Miami.
Following her retirement, Sandra spent several years traveling the world and now lives in Corona del Mar and Seattle. Though she keeps busy with sculpting, golf, ice skating and dancing, she is still drawn to the fast-paced business world and looks forward to being involved with investments and start-up businesses including her newest ventures of designing a new line Italian Handbags and outdoor recreational sportswear.
