These prices are if you have own place to park it. 5th wheel was in back yard. But city decided despite great reviews and no noise complaints ever, to disallow it. It is now stored in Carson. I have to arrange to have it pulled by former owner who has a 5th wheel attachment, for him to drop it and pick it up at end of your stay. If your dates sync when I'm in Tahoe, I'll consider hosting you in my driveway. Price is $120/nt (non holiday), 3nts min= $360 before Airbnb fees to stay on my property.

Camper was awesome! Clean, quiet and comfortable (slept great!). Running water so we were able to brush our teeth in the camper. Toilet as well but we preferred the outdoor one next door enclosed in a shed (worked well!). Annie also offered us the bathroom/shower indoors (& clean towels!) but using the one outside was perfectly fine, and more convenient. She has other accommodations as well, such as a VERY large tent with multiple mattresses (tempted to stay in this as well!) 420/alcohol friendly, which is a plus. Annie was a friendly, welcoming, gracious and hospitable host. Would definitely recommend!

You can totes have a fire in that wood burning stove out there. There is meager wood/sticks stacked near it now, but you can either hunt around for more, find enough easily or go easy route & buy a bundle at grocery outlet for like $5. The top opens up for a contained bonfire.

Stay at the Birdie Camper was a fun and unique experience. It matches what was showed in the pictures. When we got there in the afternoon, the camper was nicely setup with everything we needed either in the camper or at the house. The beds were comfy and we had a good night of sleep(and with a ceiling view of the sky!). The location of the house is great with easy access to all the restaurants and entertainments in South Lake Tahoe area. We never got to meet Annie as she was away for the weekend. But she made sure everything was comfortable for us and left parking spot for us. She also gave us recommendation for what to do in the area. Overall it was a great experience. Thanks Annie!

Man, staying at Annie's was indeed a remarkable fortuity! Lovely place, even more lovely surrounding! My brother-in-law and I would not have expected to find such a funky place there. The house was inviting, interestingly set up and gave us everthing we needed to have a good time :) So did Annie. Although we were late, Annie managed to prepare to get us into the house in a fuss-free way. When met her later the day and the other guests, we were massively surprised and it turned out to be an unforgettable stay! Annie herself did everything she could for her guests, including us. She was nice, keen on discussion, interesting in every way and very hospitable. Definitely again, when we should manage it once to be back in town!

Annie was a wonderful host. She tried to make sure we were comfortable. There were many other guests staying at the property and every one of them were lovely. Definitely made some good friends. Some of us, including Annie went to Lake Angora together and had good fun! Will definitely consider the place again when we visit Lake Tahoe.

Location was central to Lake Tahoe area. Annie was very nice and cordial. Constructive update, camper and site not set up upon arrival and a bit of confusion upon set up. As property owner having guests, overall property should be picked up, would basically take one day effort to clear front and back yard of debris for greater overall guest experience.

Well, if you'd have let me know your husband was coming with friend, not you, that they needed 2 separate beds not just the one double bed that was set up for you ahead of time, I might've had that ready. I'm not psychic. Pile in front is a tarped organized pile waiting for thrift store pick up. Yes, your right about back yard. On my agenda.

I initially reserved the red room and Annie asked me to switch the reservation to the camper (and offered to give a discount since it was almost double the price per night) so I accepted the change. Personally I think it makes no sense that the camper is more expensive than the room after seein both (its smaller and to use the kitchen/bathroom you need to go inside the house anyways!). The only difference is that it's a private space, but still, the rooms inside have much more comfort. We got there and the camper was open but since Annie has another camper parked in front of her house we got confused and thought that was the one (but it was locked). Since we couldn't get a hold of her (it was past midnight) we found an empty room inside and slept there (her front door is always open which was good!). Second night, we were supposed to sleep at the camper but when we got back at night we found out it had no electricity. After calling Annie she said we could sleep in the room for one more night - her guests for that room were only arriving in the next day and she would have the electricity issue fixed by then. We ended up changing plans and leaving early. Annie was flexible with that and seemed very nice and helpful (we only saw her for a couple minutes, most of the time we just texted!). The location is great - walking distance from restaurants, stores, etc. Annie also has bikes to lend in front of ther house.

Privacy is important to many. When Lions' Den is booked (room behind bookcase), those guests have to walk through red room to enter & exit. That's why it's cheaper. Some people want to get naked on vacation but not in front of strangers, and have undisturbed sleep without folks walking through. Having own little kitchen is a value for same reason. I prefer to make & drink my coffee naked in privacy.

Annie was very responsive to my concern and questions via the texting. The home is within a good short walk from bus stop, restaurant, shops and river etc. I met a few different airbnb guests within the two nights short stay. They were so cool. It was a new journey of semi-camping and I made it. I was glad that I met Annie since she travels between Lake Tahoe and Oregon.

I love snow. But I guess I love my mom more. That's why I'm in Oregon 1/2 the time caring for her. I've been living a dual life last 2 1/2 years as a snowboard instructor in Tahoe and an in home caregiver for elderly and disabled people of Oregon. Airbnb has enabled this lifestyle by helping me share my 2 homes with guests to offset the costs of upkeeping them both. I sort of blew it up big time last summer in Tahoe. Hosting became a full time job for me and a little side gig for a few friends in both locations helping me. I had tents with real beds, RVs, buffet breakfast outside on patio. It was super fun. But politics in Tahoe forced me to "snooze" my Tahoe listings for now unfortunately, and turn my efforts elsewhere. Luckily I have enough friends and return guests there to keep my mortgage paid. I plan to spend my "off season" (May-Nov) this year, mostly in Portland with my girlfriend. Whether I keep my Reedsport apt. during the whole summer has yet to be decided. It makes visiting my mom there a lot easier. She has COPD and a touch of dementia. Its tough to stay at her place for very long. We get along a lot better when I can go home to my own place down the street from her to sleep and concentrate on other work. If Airbnb guests keep booking it, just enough to help cover costs and the effort & stress of keeping it paid, I'll keep it til Nov.
My house in Tahoe has been my rock of gibraltar for over 15 years enabling me a free spirited lifestyle, providing me a home base from which to explore other places and jobs, always having it to call "home" and come back home to. The seasonal nature of the Tahoe job market has always been a challenge, "poverty with a view." It does provide decent minimum wage jobs to come home to, like restaurants in summer and ski resorts in winter. I love teaching snowboarding and skiing at Sierra-At-Tahoe every winter. That has been a constant in my gypsy lifestyle for the last 7 years and many more to come. They treat me sooo swell with so much respect and kind consideration for my unique personal struggles. I hope to someday visit its now sister resort Stevens Pass in WA. It is equidistant to Reedsport in the opposite direction than Tahoe, but a long haul. I'd like to try Idaho resorts too. I drive back and forth between Tahoe and Oregon at least every 6 weeks. Please join me sometime, carpooling or just visiting either location. Welcome home! My motto?
