A message to our guests: We lived in the space for 5 years prior and have never had issues with the internet or hot water. The comfortability of our guest's stay is very important to us, so during Claire's stay, to satisfy them as our guests we immediately responded to their comments and had the hot water checked (by the manager of the building maintenance) and internet checked (through multiple diagnostic tests as well as by an in-person AT&T technician) early the next morning after their complaints; only to find out that the maintenance and technician reported both hot water and internet to be working fine with no issues.
Claire and her partner checked out 2.5 hours after the scheduled checkout with no notification to us, we did not hear from Claire once after check-in and all communication with her partner was very unclear. Upon entering the loft, it was completely trashed; a marble and resin art sculpture was shattered with fragments on the floor and what was left of the art piece was hidden in the corner of the closet between two pillows. The sculpture had a clear "Do No Touch" sign on it and was located in the loft where it was easily out of harm's way. Multiple pieces of furniture were stained, chipped, dented and/or moved. Even the cement floor had a chip in it. All of this Claire denied and said she knew nothing about and said it must have been the maintenance or AT&T technician, who were both in the loft for less than 30 minutes. We accrued $1300+ in damages to our home during her stay.
The loft is located on the 3rd floor on Main St., in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, so yes, there will be some city sounds from time to time.
We work hard to make sure the loft is up to its highest standards, and strive for an enjoyable and smooth stay for our guests; we hold their experience in high regard. This loft is very important to us and we want to make sure our guests enjoy it as well. AirBnb is a platform where honesty of a guest's stay must be fair and transparent, so other's can make helpful decisions for their trips. So although I've noted Claire's remarks, we simply cannot agree with the severity and truthfulness of them.
