The second floor suite sleeps 6 in 2 beautiful bedrooms and a large sitting room. It is one mile from Sharon center and near 6 private schools. It is surrounded by woods, fields and gardens, with a huge back yard in the middle of 26 acres, 2 hours north of New York City.
This Federal Style home has many original details, a center hall with an arched entrance and a spiral staircase going up to the third floor. Bedrooms with "Heavenly Beds" furnished with period antiques and luxury linens. . The elegant paneled library has an entertainment center hidden behind folding doors.
Many of Don Hunstein's famous photographs are on display throughout our home as are several amazing books of his work. From Bob Dylan to Johnny Cash to Barbara Streisand, you name it and he has taken them, plus numerous famous album covers as well.
We have two great outdoor eating areas available in warmer months and the large Weber Grill can be used year round. The grounds can accommodate outdoor games such as croquet, badminton, horseshoes and various ball games. The house and grounds are perfect for small weddings, seminars and corporate meetings. Any special events with more than the overnight guests do have an extra charge.

Guests will be greeted on arrival by either the owner or someone on our staff. Resident caretakers are in an adjacent apartment and are available for help with luggage or any questions regarding the mechanics of the house. The owner has her own private suite in a separate part of the house and may or may not be in residence.
We purchased our beautiful country home when our children were young and needed an escape from New York City. We bought at a auspicious time, as we were able to afford a gracious estate with a 17th century home and much land in a sleepy little New England town, which later became a favorite destination for the wealthy and famous. We have continued to maintain our NYC residency but prize our Sharon home for quiet weekends and family reunions with the grandchildren.
No smoking on the premises or loud music, unless otherwise authorized (like weddings or events)...
