Enjoy your stay at a modern studio apartment with private access in the heart of Seattle's charming Fremont neighborhood. Just minutes from downtown Seattle, live like a local with easy access to major bus lines and plenty of good eats/drinks around!
The space is a basement studio apartment with a full kitchen, bath, and queen sized bed. The studio comfortably sleeps 2 in a queen size bed, but there's a large sectional couch that will sleep a 3rd guest - or even a 4th if someone doesn't mind curling up on the Chaise lounge (e.g., a smaller guest). We have plenty of extra blankets and linens if you should need them.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cookware if you have the urge to whip up a meal. We also have a french press for your coffee needs.
The full size, heated bathroom comes equipped with a large vanity/mirror and plenty of plush towels. Extra toiletries are available in the event you forget your go-to shampoo and body wash. Tired from running around the city all day? Please treat yourself to a relaxing bubble bath!
We have a flatscreen TV and XBOX for any relaxing couch time. You have access to Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Instant Video for movies/shows on demand.
Sidenote for summer guests: Many places in Seattle do not have air conditioning. Beat the summer heat with this basement unit - it stays cooler than the other side of the pillow.
You have access to plenty of free street parking.
The host lives upstairs when he is not traveling. When he is traveling he rents out the upstairs unit (see listing: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/11911218). There is no need to interact with the host if you do not wish to. You have private access through the red side door with an assigned key pad code. There is no physical key to keep track of! Your code is valid for only the duration of your stay and will reset one hour after check out. If you need anything at all though, please feel free to contact via email, phone or text.
Please before inquiring, we ask that you fill out your profile, verify your ID, and provide a picture. I kindly remind guests that this is my home and not a hotel.
Please do make yourself at home, but respect the space as it's newly remodeled. Refrain from raging parties or smoking indoors and strive to leave the space tidy upon departure. Please also respect that Reid (the host) or other tenants may be living upstairs and try not to be too loud late in the evening or during weeknights.
When cooking, please try to keep food from burning and always turn on the hood fan. Consider opening a window if you expect to produce a lot of smoke/steam (to prevent smoke detectors from going off - if they do go off, just fan the smoke detector by the dining room table)
Please ONLY flush toilet paper: Being a basement studio, everything you flush has to be pumped out to the street. Our plumbing can only handle toilet paper, waste water and solid waste. Please do NOT flush anything other than these items.
**Check-in is anytime after 3PM. We have a strict check-out time of 10AM as our cleaning service arrives promptly after each guest's departure.
Hey there! Reid here. I'm a user experience researcher at Amazon, volunteer ski patroller at Crystal Mountain, and part-time Airbnb host. I look forward to hosting you in my vacation studio! You have your own entrance, but my roommate Matt and I just live upstairs if you need anything at all.
