I am a general officer of the Canadian Forces who retired in 1998 as the Canadian Military Representative to NATO after 40 years in the military . I then worked for over six years as the Vice -President Business Development for an Ottawa-based defence consulting company, then as vice-President Business Development for a consulting firm involved in providing financing, marketing, governance, and accounting assistance and advice to small companies on the bleeding edge of green technologies.
I then retired to my new home in 2009 on the shores of le Grand Lac St François ( 44 km long) and am currently involved as Vice-president of the local Desjardins Credit Union, Member of the Board of the lake owners association, Secretary of the local chapel foundation and Honorary Colonel of the Sherbrooke Hussars.
I have travelled extensively for work and pleasure in Canada (all provinces and the Arctic) and overseas: England, Ireland, Scotland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy, Serbia, Czechoslovakia, Rumania, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Portugal, Spain, The United States (including New York, Washington DC, Williamsburg VA, Ibor City Florida, Las Vegas, Colorado Springs and Steamboat Colorado, as well as Hawaii), Japan, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brazil, La Guadeloupe, Saint Martin, and Cuba.
My wife and I very much enjoy travelling and meeting the locals, an experience we have enjoyed several times in St-Martin, not to mention the sun during our cold Canadian winters. We hope that you will enjoy your stay in Saint-Martin.
