Newly renovated 2nd floor One Bedroom unit (+ pull out couch) with Garden View on the north side of Tower 1. The Whaler is located next to The Whalers Village, and offers quick beach access along Ka’anapail Beach.

The 901sqft unit features a full kitchen, full bath, central air conditioning, and a private 231sqft lanai (balcony). The unit offers a king sized bed in a spacious bedroom, a double/queen sofa bed in the living room and a single roll away mattress (which is stored away in the owners closet). Free WiFi. Resort fee is $20 a day paid to the front desk and includes parking.

Located right on the famous Kaanapali Beach nestled between Whalers Village and Black Rock. Imagine walking right out of your resort to some of the best restaurants on the island. Only a short walk from Black Rock where you can snorkel and swim with the giant Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles and Maui's colorful fish. Board the Teralani or Gemini Charters right off the beach to go for a day of sailing and special snorkel spots like Honolua Bay Marine Reserve. Enjoy dining and music at Leilani's and Hula Grill. It just doesn't get much better than this!

Great condo and location. Close to everything. Furnishings were excellent. Lots of extra amenities you. I was very pleased and highly recommend to anyone. I would come back without hesitation.

Clark's place is a GEM! Located on the spectacular Kaanapali Beach, this condominium at The Whaler was perfect for our family (two adults, two children aged 14 and 10). The place was clean, comfortable with plenty of room to move, the bedding situation suited our needs very comfortably, and the location on the garden side of Tower One was perfect too. It was quiet, serene, and yet everything was still at our doorstep - beach, pool, restaurants, shopping. We hired a car and toured Maui and it was lovely to always arrive back at The Whaler each day and just relax - or to not go anywhere and just spend the day on the beach! Grocery shopping at nearby Lahaina had everything we needed and the cutlery, crockery and kitchen in the condo was well equipped and in excellent condition. The beach is safe and is easily some of the nicest water we've ever swum in. Spectacular snorkelling at Kaanapali and we also took a short drive to Napili to snorkel there. My only suggestion is to confirm your arrival date and approx. time with the front desk a couple of days beforehand to help the check-in run as smooth as possible. The front desk operates 24 hours a day and the staff were very friendly. Also confirm the check-out time as well as it differs between the hotel and time share options. We recommend hiring a car for your stay on Maui, as there are many beautiful places to visit and activities to do. Carparking is easy at The Whaler. All-in-all Clark's place was fantastic for us and suited our needs perfectly.

Clark's apartment is centrally located, well-stocked, extremely clean, large, and comfortable. We really love the Ka'anapali Beach area and The Whaler is smack in the middle. Black Rock is easy walking distance and Whaler's Village/restaurants are just as close going the other direction. The beach is wonderful! The apartment is very large for a 1 bedroom (could easily fit two couples with plenty of moving around space) and the unit has obviously been updated. This appears to be a timeshare unit and the only challenge was upon check-in the front desk person asked about my family. It seemed like she was trying to gauge whether or not I was a timeshare owner or a guest and was making comments like "do I know you?" and "you've never been here before? I must know your family". It was definitely probing and not friendly conversation. Not a big deal but made us feel a little strange since we weren't sure if we should make conversation about AirBnB, not being owners, etc. The resort fee was increased to $16 a day after we had already booked, so that was an unexpected expense. No fault of Clark or Linda, but unexpected nonetheless. The listing was updated as soon as they found out about the increase, so no future guests should have that surprise. Clark responded promptly and had excellent communication skills. Perhaps our favorite part about our stay was the little amenities available--high quality beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. It made the stay feel like we were at our very own beach apartment. Can't wait for another visit and we are thankful Clark shared his home with us.

The listing description was spot on. The location is ideal for anything you want to do without getting into a car-- easy walk to restaurants, shopping,& of course the wonderful beach & beach activities.

Excellent stay at the Whaler in Maui. Clark was super helpful and accommodative, despite our short stay and my lack of much detail around my own profile! Place was a very spacious one bedroom with both a foldout couch and rollaway bed which made our 2 boys happy. The unit was spotless and well equipped in the kitchen, laundry and complete with beach gear. Location on the beach is perfect, pool is beachside, empty tennis courts and great grills to cook out. The staff at the Whaler were nice in allowing us to check in a little early and hang around after check out to use facilities until our flight. Highly recommended. Thanks again Clark!

This airbnb was wonderful! It more than exceeded my expectations. It was spacious, comfortable, clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The grounds were beautifully maintained. It was right on the beach and the walkway along Kaanpali Beach and right next door to the Whaler's Village and restaurants. The owner lives in California but communication with him was easy and so was check-in. I loved that they had a tourist person in the lobby with all the information we wanted on places to visit. If I'm ever on Maui again, I would definitely want to stay here again!

Aloha! My wife and I fell in love with Maui early in our marriage and we purchased this two-week time interval at The Whaler over 30 years ago. We created many memories on Maui and watched our two girls grow up on our yearly family vacations to the island.
My wife and I currently reside in the California Bay Area were we enjoy playing golf, reading and running around with our dog.
I hope you enjoy Ka'anapali as much as we have over the years!
