Excellent facilities at reasonable rates. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and private entrances as well as air-cons/heat pumps. Secure undercover parking. Coffee, tea and snacks in all rooms included in the quoted rates, also

We treat every guest as a family member and would like our guests to feel at home and respect other guests by keeping voices and TV volumes as low as possible. If guests want to receive their own guests, they should first discuss it with management.

Salome greeted me warmly and made me feel at home. I found that several things did not meet up to her listing. 1. A key to Airbnb is the second "b," breakfast. It was only after I had booked that I was told that breakfast was not included, but was available for an additional fee. 2. In-room wifi was advertised. Only when I arrived was I told that I had to come to a central point in the house to access it. 3. Hot tub availability was advertised as a feature (and was a prime selling point for me), but when I asked for it, I was told that the electricity to run it was too expensive, so it was not generally in use. 4. When I reserved my room, I had requested a late checkout. I did not hear anything from her, and was only told when I asked at breakfast (I paid!) that it was not available. It would have been nice to have known in a more timely way and not upon my second request.

I am sorry you were disappointed. It was not intentional. 1. Most establishments in SA do not add breakfast to their standard rates because not everyone requires breakfast and don't want to pay for something they don't require. Also our breakfast rate is already very low and then Airbnb still take commission on the breakfast too. I still have not received any payment for your stay (not your fault) and I will only receive less than $20 USD after commission and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) exchange rates. I will normally receive $35 USD. 2. The wi-fi works in-room for all the rooms depending on your computer or phone. It seems the newer machines e.g.tablets don't have the same reception as the older models. Our signal is so strong that it is picked up by neighbors and people passing in the street. 3. We have load shedding and a shortage of electricity in SA and we were specifically asked to restrict the use of the hot tub as it uses the same power as 2 geysers (and we already have 4 other geysers) and it takes 6 hours to heat up. So this is beyond our control and I specifically told you that it uses too much electricity and has nothing to do with expense. 4. Your request for late departure did not mention any specific time. We would have been happy to oblige up to 12 am although our normal departure time is 10 am (standard for most establishments) but you wanted to come back and only depart after 3 pm. This is impossible because new guests can check in any time from 2 pm and we still need time to clean the room. I sent you an e-mail a few days before check-in with all our policies (see below) so there should not have been any surprises if you read it.. ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE TIMES • Arrival time is after 14:00 and before 19:00 unless arranged otherwise with management. Arrivals after 22:00 will not be permitted at all. •Departure time is strictly before 10:00. If not departed by 12:00 a full extra day will be charged. The rooms must be evacuated before 10:00 for housekeeping to start cleaning. So it seems that there has been some miss-communication here. I can inform you that we have an average rating of 4½ - 5 stars accumulated over the years and we pride ourselves in our personal service to our guests. We go out of our way to make them feel at home and we assist them in every possible way.
