This Kawela Bay home requires a minimum stay of 30 days.
Our home sits right on the beach, on private and beautiful Kawela Bay,
1 mile from the Turtle Bay Resort. There are two houses on the property and together it sleeps 16 people.

Minimum stay: 30 nights
This darling home is the crown jewel of Kawela Bay as it sits right in the middle of the crescent beach, and since it was built over 100 years ago, it is the only house closest to the water.
Kawela Bay is calm even in the winter months, as there is a protective reef at the entrance to the bay, although we also have a nice break outside the bay that is perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding and surfing. But inside the bay is wonderfully calm and safe for children.
The property consists of two homes, 3 separate living spaces, for your use. It is perfect for families to share, as it will sleep up to 16 people. Perfect for a family reunion! Cozy and cute, you will feel at home in paradise. And once through the gates of this private community, you will leave the world behind and feel immersed in the colors of the turquoise water and baby blue skies. The large sea turtles come onto the sand every nite, to sleep right in front of the house.
Yes, it is paradise!
Pricing includes tax and cleaning fees.
Our housekeeper Irma, will meet you at the door to show you around.

The entire property is rented as a whole. Both houses are for your use. We don't rent them separately.

We have a manager to help check you in and show you around.

This is a very special and enchanting spot.
Kawela Bay is magical and rare in our busy busy world. Calm, protected... few people know of it. Our home sits right on the bay and you feel like you are the captain on the bow of a ship. The Ali'i (Hawaiian Royality) used to summer on this bay and in WWII the house was used as a command center. There is much good "mana" (power) here..a lot of history. People who get to stay here remark on the magic of the property. It is not your typical vacation rental. It is a gift to all those who get the chance to experience it.
In the morning hours, there is no one on the beach. Around 9 am, a group of about 3-7 kayaks appear from The Turtle Bay Resort and it is fun to watch them discover the bay. Still, no one on the sand. By afternoon there might be 10 people sunbathing down at the far end of the beach.... those that wandered here from Turtle Bay..but for the most part, the beach is your own private playground. This is not Waikiki or even Sunset Beach on the North Shore. This is a rare property and after almost 20 years of being here, we still pinch ourselves everyday.

Since we are in a private community, we request that you respect our neighbors. This is not a party house. Drive slowly down the gravel roads and live aloha.

My husband and I have been married for 48 years. We are in our late 60's and have 3 beautiful daughters and 7 beautiful grand daughters. We feel so blessed to have had this wonderful Balboa Island home passed on to our family and it will continue on to our daughters and grand daughters. It is a home filled with happy memories. Gary and I love to travel and in particular have been visiting France each year. We spend our time between California and the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.
