Lucas' place is clean, quiet, and if you leave the curtains drawn, nice and dark too. We slept in a lot :) Lucas left us all the necessities, and a couple bonus goodies too: beers in the fridge, all the makings for margaritas at home, even some aloe vera for healing our first-day sunburns. Lucas was kind to add a small bed for our 5 year old son to sleep on. The house is slightly off the beaten path, which means you'll escape the more busy central area, but at the same time it's a 5 minute walk to get there and a quick walk to the beach too. All the local taco places are right near you. It's not the fanciest place but it's tastefully decorated to make you feel at home. The shade umbrella and boogie boards he leaves for you to use were clutch for us! Umbrella is 100% necessary on the beach and you'd need to rent or buy one otherwise. And boogie boards made our trip. He's even got a surfboard to borrow if you're a good enough surfer (I needed an 8 foot giant, not the advanced board he's got). The house is more like a cool respite from the hustle, not at all a 'shack'.
