The enclosed closet is for our storage but there is an open air closet space and a chest of drawers with reading light for your use. The shared bathroom is right across the hall. 2nd bedroom often available for a second, third or fourth person.

The shared bathroom is right across the hall. There is also a wonderful enclosed (you can see the sky) hot & cold water outdoor shower---a vineyard tradition and a wonderful experience. There is a single bed with 100% cotton linens, towels and beach towels for your use. If you want a second person in the room, a single floor mattress can also be made with 100% cotton linens at no extra charge. It does make the floor space smaller A window fan and mini fridge are in room for your use. IF YOU HAVE THREE OR FOUR PEOPLE IN YOUR PARTY, we often have another room available on the second floor of our farmhouse. It has a queen size bed and shares a l/2 bath across the hall with the hosts. If that room is available, it is also listed on airbnb under "queen size bed in farmhouse". Coffee or tea are available from 8 AM to 10 AM morning. Fresh hot muffins or bread with sweet butter, whipped honey and jellies is put out at 8:30 AM.
For a full breakfast, the MV Airport is located less than 4 miles from us. We are located in West Tisbury which is 8 to 10 miles from the down island towns. Many people prefer mid-island to the more congested towns. There is a horse farm on one side of our property, a farmer's field on one side and The Tisbury Great Pond on another side.
Because there are so many diverse beaches, nature walks, towns with restaurants, galleries and shops, we recommend that you bring a car to the island, however, many of our guests either bike it or use public transit (nearest bus top is about 3/4 of a mile from our place).
Aside from your room , you are welcome to enjoy our unique gardens. There are several seating areas outside where you might want to watch the sunset or just relax. Again, there are no kitchen privileges but we do put out coffee or tea each morning from 8 AM to 10 AM.
We live on site so we enjoy meeting the guests and sharing insights into island life. It really depends on the guests how much interaction there is.
The lower half of our property is part of Acorn Farms and we have goats, pigs and free range chickens.
Aside from that, you'll probably see rabbits, ospreys, horses next door and swans. This is not a hotel but if you are looking for a more rural setting with unique gardens, comfortable rooms and reasonable prices, we'd love to have you stay with us.
CHILDREN SIX & UP ARE FINE HERE. We are located on the Tisbury Great Pond so children must be accompanied by adult when outside.
We are welcoming you into our home to share our beautiful piece of Martha's Vineyard. You are welcome to enjoy our yard and gardens---it's a great place to watch the sunset while enjoying a glass of your wine. It is not a party place however.

My husband and I are officially senior citizens. We met on Martha's Vineyard over 40 years ago. We lived in Manhattan for 25 years and ran a sailing operation out of Battery Park. When we decided to move to a more peaceful environment, we chose to bring our two young children to The Vineyard. We enjoy sailing, gardening, music, cards and sharing our beautiful place with family and friends. You'll often find us out by the firepit with guitar in my husband's hands and music flowing. Don't worry, it's far enough away from the house that you won't feel like you have to participate.
We have built a 105' sloop and are still in the process of finishing it below decks. We welcome you to our own small piece of Martha's Vineyard.
