A warm colonial in quiet neighborhood, centrally located near universities, major medical centers, forest and marsh hiking/biking trails, golf course, downtown and the Mississippi River. Ample space inside and out with large, fenced yard, rec room, and view of Grandad Bluff.
Carefully curated home, enjoy many original works of art, bluff views, large fenced in back yard, and basement rec room. I've listed the room as having two beds, but is actually a queen sized bed in addition to a very comfortable full sized futon, not actually a bed. $20 charge to set up the futon as a sleeping space.
Guests will have access to wifi, shared kitchen, living room, dining room, outdoor patio, and basement rec room with flat screen TV, ping pong, and dart board.
Interaction with hosts is up to guests' discretion.
Golden rule covers most of what you'll need to know. Some some particulars we'd like you to know:
The bathrooms are shared, one on the first and one on the second floor. Please knock and be courteous with your use. When showering, please use the suction cups on the shower liner, as water tends to leak out and can damage the walls. Extra towels and toilet paper can be found in the closet.
Please make yourself comfortable. Any time during your stay that you are not using the room, please shut out the lights and close the windows. Let us know if you would like the temperature changed for your comfort.
Please lock the doors when you leave.
Please remove your shoes in the house.
Dogs are welcome, provided they are well behaved, up to date on vaccinations, treated for fleas and ticks, house trained, etc. We would prefer you not leave your dog alone in our home, but are open to making arrangements for small periods of time at our discretion.
Lenny and Quigley are very friendly and like having guests. It is important that you don't feed them anything and make sure any food you may have with you is not accessible to them. Please be continuous when going in and out of the house that they do not slip past you and run outside.
The yard and patio are open to guests. We do our best to keep up on picking up the dog poo, but it is a good idea to give it a quick look over before enjoying it.
