I was heading to NY and needed to find place to stay that night. Jamie was very responsive and we were able to arrange everything within hrs. He was a very kind, and friendly host. Even woke up in the middle of the night to come open the door for me, when I still couldn't figure out how to use the key on my 2nd day there.
Only the facts: - I WAS ROBBED!! from this apartment at the day, when I was leaving: all my luggage was stolen in 3 hours, while I was away before to go to the airport!! The situation looks quite odd: how it could be possible just to pass by the flat situated on the top floor of a 3 floors’ house with a locked front door and to know, that suite cases are ready to be taken to the airport. Obviously only one person could organize this case... That night I spent lots of time in police and I’ve found out, that this location isn’t safe at all: either in the morning or at night! This case is registered by the 28th Precinct (Police office) dd 17 Oct 2012, so if you have any doubts about the reality of this story – please contact them! Another less crucial, but important notes: - 2 days before my arrival Jamie has told me, that I had to go to his workplace to grab the keys; then I’ve asked him, whether there were other options to grab the keys, at what time and etc, but he wasn’t answering my me until very late of the arrival day. After a long exhausted flight it’s not what you wish to do... so, the way to the flat was really long with a heavy suite case. - the apartment itself is very dirty with lots of dust everywhere. - I was cold and asked for a blanket, but I was given only a throw saying that I don’t need the blanket. - there is no door in the room, so you don’t have much privacy at all. - Jamie is keeping doing his private life taken his the girl-friends, which is good for him, but it’s not so nice to hear all that stuff. There are only facts and now you can make a decision, whether to go with this deal or not! Good luck and enjoy NY!!
