Very easy to find and in a convenient location on the south end of the island. Check in was convenient and host was friendly.

No one was there to great us upon arrival and no clean rooms were available. Scott did let us into a room to store our luggage but it was not secure. Someone else was allowed to enter the room and put there stuff in as well. We ended up spending the night in a cellar room with no private bath and only bottom sheets. I would not recommend staying here.

Natalie, I can only apologize for the mess! Really, it was just a fiasco and as hard as I tried to fix it from afar, I think it only fair to tell people I tried to handle this all by phone and just could not get a grip on it in time. It was the fluke that the manager who was suppose to be there had left on a vacationand the person who was suppose to cover them was totally confused and the bartender tried to help by explaining to the cover person where they were to stay. The whole thing ended in a mess when the room you were to go into never got cleaned and the guy covering had placed his bags in there for hisd stay. I am super sorryand I tried to make it right by offering you another place that night but it was late. I have requested your refunded all of it. Scott

Great first night on Caye Caulker! Didn't get a chance to meet Scott, but was thoroughly and warmly welcomed by Kevin who hooked it up proper with a cold Belikin beer and plate of fresh grilled jerk chicken, with epic beans and rice. Scott was really helpful, and gave me advice on everything I asked about. He was even really cool that I had to cancel a few nights, for my own reasons. My own room, shared toilet, private shower, and A/C, worked well for my first night. Basic but super hospitable, and a great place to meet people.

I am hesitant to write this because it wasn't so great actually! I was very excited to stay at Jaun in a million because the name was so cute and the pictures looked adorable! however unfortunately we did not have a good stay :( I will list the things that went "wrong" now just so someone else trying to book might have a honest appraisal of the space before they choose it. here goes 1) it's very loud, walls are very thin and the bar is noisy with TV and talk, everytime a door is opened or closed anywhere in hallway or front or other guests rooms it can be heard. 2) the bathrooms can't accept toilet paper, which is ok, because you just have to use a trash can- however most of the time a trash can was not there and made it difficult because then you had to hold your soiled toilet paper and search for trash can. toilets were also broken a bit during our stay because people kept putting the paper in there an It would clog. there 3) there were bugs, tiny roaches during the night and a giant island spider the size of my hand in the shower. also saw a dead mouse in trap in main hallway one day. 4) the beds were lined w one sheet and had plastic covers and sounded a bit like diapers when you moved. our room did not look like the pictures we had seen online at the time of booking- it looked like a jail cell and had bunkbeds. the light was a single bulb hanging from ceiling. I thought we were getting a small economical but colorfully decorated in island and mexican blanket style room, and that was maybe 80% of why I chose Jaun in a million over getting a nice little house! we did not sleep well on those beds and had unrestful nights of sleep 5) saw about 4 or 5 different people who were "in charge"? our first was a woman who didn't recognize us when we came back later in day and who didn't seem able to help when we asked for a towel or asked if the door could stopes being slammed while we were napping. the next day we saw a different "set" of people in charge they were cleaning out the dead mouse in main hall- when I asked about the loo trash cans being gone often they just said we are using it. not sure who scott is or where he was during our stay. maybe this air bnb is new or going through some owner changes but it seemed like not the most organized or accomadating atmosphere. Sorry we had a not so great stay... it seems like most people do seem to have an alright time. I just tried to list exactly what happened without too much feeling. good things about Juan: it has air conditioning or a fan in room - both worked...

Em, it is always good to leave an honest perspective. I know the week you were with us was a disaster and we had a total staff turnover and then issue with the fact that the back of the building had flooded, which had created multiple problems, including mice that had been flooded in the septic in back..such a mess. Hope you enjoyed Caulker all the same, and appreciate the good words you left. We do keep the matress's wrapped in a plastic liner, as we try to prevent other issues if we dont. If asked, we can provide a second sheet to soften the "noise" of the vinyl. Again, thanks for letting others know what they need to know!

Really easy check-in and standard accommodations. For the price, it was everything that we expected and surprisingly clean.

This was a great location for the weekend I was there ... A little down from the main action, nice and quiet. They were very helpful, storing my luggage in a locker while I went snorkeling so that I could pick it up afterwards. If you buy food or drink in the bar downstairs you can make a free call to the U.S. Highly recommended!
