Small, graciously decorated apartment for 2-3 people on the second floor of a 1920s building in the Monteverde area of Rome -very close to the Vatican, Trastevere and Rome's historic city center- with many comforts. Public transport easily accessible
House Rules (you will find a hard copy in the apartment upon arrival):
1.No Smoking: This is a non-smoking apartment.
2.No pets: We love pets but, unfortunately, they are not allowed in the apartment with you.
3.Only those individuals (1, 2 or 3) who originally reserved the apartment may spend the night. To do otherwise is illegal under Italian law.
4.Should you require sheets and/or towels during your stay, the charge is €25 for 2 guests and €35 for 3 guests. Please request these items at booking.
5.Check-in is after 3pm on arrival day, check-out is before 11am. When available, late check-out is possible for a €15 surcharge. Check in after 10pm also incurs a €15 surcharge.
6.Of course, you are free and welcome to use all appliances (microwave, oven, coffee maker, washing machine, etc.) as well as air conditioning and heating during your stay. We just ask that you make sure everything is turned off prior to your departure.
7.Should you require use of the washing machine or dishwasher during your stay and don’t feel like heading to the market/store to buy a full bottle/box of detergent, we have provided single use laundry and dishwashing detergent (at €1 each) located on the kitchen counter.
8.Please clean and put away any dishes, glasses, utensils, etc. during your stay.
9.Do not throw anything but toilet paper into the toilet/WC for it will block up!
10.Books and magazines are at your disposal during your stay. Please do not take (steal!) . . .
a.Should you wish to exchange books (take one, leave one) or leave anything behind for future travelers, please do so. (We only ask that if you exchange a book, please do not exchange for the language dictionaries and Rome guides as they are particularly useful for future guests).
b.What you find on the table, however, is yours to keep and take home with you if you wish.
11.It’s very easy to get to most Rome attractions (Vatican, historic city center: Piazza Venezia, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Coliseum, etc.) from the apartment using public transportation. The 8 Tram is 100 meters from the front door. Feel free to use the maps and transport guides provided.
12.See separate instructions for the television. The apartment has satellite TV and most (SKY) programs may be viewed both in Italian and original language (though we sincerely hope you won’t be spending most of your time in Rome watching TV!)
13.You can have both Italian and American coffee here. Just make sure to use the proper grind (labeled) and coffee maker/moka for the best experience
14.Free wi-fi! Check the username and password for access in the photo frame near the TV.
15.Rome emergency numbers (which we hope you will not require during your stay!) are also displayed in a photo frame near the TV.
16.Please remember to turn off the air conditioning and heating when you are not in the apartment.
17.Call or text us (Francesco: (+, Kathryne: (+) should there be any problem with the apartment. We both work (a lot) so if you can’t reach us immediately don’t worry – we’ll call you back as soon as we can!
18.Please do not leave the apartment inordinately dirty upon your departure. The cleaning charge will double if it takes us more than 3 hours (!) to clean up after you leave.
