Ours is a very private, quiet setting, with garden everywhere and fresh ocean breezes. Guests have total privacy, but we live on the premises, providing enhanced security and happily meeting whatever needs might arise! See also AirBNB #(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).
Ours is a charming historic private waterfront home in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Tarasita Cottage is the studio apartment above the garage. Enter through a luxurious garden filled with fruit trees, tropicals, and orchids. Filled with art and antiques and light, the second story cottage catches our fresh ocean breezes. The spacious high ceilinged main room has more windows than walls, and a full kitchen, full bath, and walk-in closet. The roof deck, with comfortable chairs and umbrellas, is perfect for dining, reading, and relaxing outside. There is a dock on the lake with rocking chairs for enjoying coffee to cocktails. Watch sunrises, moonrises, osprey, kingfishers, pelicans, parrots, and wading birds. There is flat screen Direct TV, and Wifi. This is a wonderful retreat place, very quiet and private, but still close to everything! Walking and biking (we have two bicycles at your disposal) are popular in the neighborhood and one can do either to reach downtown amenities or the beach. Kayak off our private beach. Downtown Lake Worth is eight blocks away and is filled with charming shops and restaurants, plus the Bamboo Room (a world class blues club). Many of the cafes have outdoor tables and are dog friendly! Lake Worth beach has a great open air restaurant bar and a gorgeous new pier for fishing or just ogling the beach goers. Feb. 25th and 26th is the annual Lake Worth Street Painting Festival - a great weekend happening! Other nearby (no more than an hour's drive) attractions include Roger Dean Stadium, home of spring training for the Florida Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals; the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, home to a world class bonsai collection; Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, home of the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival (Jan 11- April 1); Palm Beach Polo Club (polo season Jan 29 - April 2); the Norton Museum of Art; Palm Beach itself and famous Worth Ave for primo shopping; Sawgrass Mills Mall (over 350 outlet stores) for bargain shopping; Lion Country Safari, a drive through African game park; off-shore drift fishing; Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino; Miami Beach! Thank you!
Only as much as necessary.
Our home and garden are a special retreat. We hope you will join us for a quiet getaway and will enjoy our lovely neighborhood and it's proximity to downtown Lake Worth and the beach!

I am a visual artist and writer; my husband, Lou, runs a professional theatre company. We have lived in Lake Worth for 20 years and adore it! We love the outdoors, the arts, gardening, animals, good food and wine, and especially good friends! You will have totally private accommodations in our cottage, and yet we are right here if you need anything and we will do everything we can to make sure you have a wonderful stay. Please contact me with any questions you may have about our home or the area.
