Sited in a quiet cobbled lane close by the main piazza of Limano, this traditional stone built house has been painstakingly restored by the current owners & offers 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large open plan kitchen-living space with open fireplace.
We also own the adjoining house which is listed as Characterful Mountain Village House if this one is not available. The two houses can be rented separately or we can unlock the internal door & they can be rented together.
Settebello is a cosy family home which has exposed chestnut beams, cotto tiled floors and a log burning fireplace. Spread over 4 levels starting with a traditional cellar housing a laundry & pellet burning furnace for hot water & central heating, stone steps lead up to a small terrace and the front door into the large farmhouse style kitchen-living room divided by an open central chestnut staircase to the second floor landing, bedroom with double & single bed, shower room. The staircase continues to the top floor and double bedroom with juliet balcony and a sumptuous english-style bathroom with claw foot bath.
This house is ideal for a family of 4 or 5, or two couples sharing.
The house is self contained, less than 50m from the central village piazza and bar. There is space to sit out on the small terrace outside the front door for an aperitivo.
Our co-host, who lives close by, will meet our guests on arrival, show them over the house & all it's features & offer suggestions as to how to get the most out of their stay in the village. He will be available should our guests need help in any way.
This house can be rented together with our other house to which it is joined by an internal communicating door. Please refer to listing ref. (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) for details.
Please note that the laundry facilities are shared between guests staying at both adjoining houses. We ask our guests to respect the environment and to only use the tumble dryer if absolutely necessary. There is a washing line for guests to use.
We welcome well behaved pets.
We do not permit smoking inside the house.
We do not require a security/breakages deposit since we trust our guests to respect our home, to be honest with us and to voluntarily pay for any accidental damage which may occur.
We ask our guests to leave the house neat and tidy as they found it. We do not make a charge for final cleaning and bedlinen and towels are included in the price.
Please don't hesitate to ask if you have special requirements, want to hold an event or a party and we will do our best to accomodate you.
I am British, from Yorkshire. I live in the historic centre of Lucca. I have lived in Italy for 12 years and I have restored several old houses but I am now retired.
I love skiing in the mountains, all forms of sailing and all the best things Italy has to offer - the climate, the food, the wine, the wonderful art & architecture and natural beauty.
I love to welcome guests to stay in my house which is furnished and decorated in shabby chic country style and hope they will feel home from home. I am here to help in every way from getting in some shopping to offering suggestions on places to visit, things to do, where to eat, favorite walks, how to get the most out of a stay in our friendly mountain village.
