Very small but nice appt. Four blocks from downtown Cuernavaca.

The apartment is located in a very tranquil community with mostly private homes and a few businesses. There are lots of pretty trees, greenery. You can walk to the Center of town without needing a bus or cab. Great enchiladas verdes and hamburgers five minutes from the house. The apartment makes sense for a single person. The light is perfect, decor just right. Diana and Victor are gracious hosts, really fantastic people to know.
The mini apartment is perfect for one person or for a very intimate couple. It is exactly as pictured on the website. Although small, it is much bigger than a hotel room and has a complete kitchen (but with only a mini bar fridge). During the day, the street traffic is very noisy but the bedroom is at the back of the house and there is a heavy metal door between the kitchen at the front and the rest of the apartment which you can close to shut out the noise. Diana works in Mexico City but she is available by phone or (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and responds quickly. The first day I was in the apartment, there was a problem with the WiFi. Diana called the ISP and had the problem fixed right away ; the WiFi was fast and reliable for the rest of the week. You have everything you need in the apartment. There are two large windows on an inside minimal courtyard so it is safe to leave them open all night and, most importantly, they have full insect screens. Airbnb won't allow me to say why this is very important, but I am sure you can figure it out. The apartment has its own water heater. The location is pretty good, in a residential area a few blocks downhill from the zocalo. There are grocery stores nearby and a small restaurant a block away that makes great steamed beef tacos (tacos a la vapor); it is open every evening until 9:30. The huge sprawling central market is about a 10-15 minute walk away, north, up Humbolt, then across the bridge, past the Pemex gas station. Buses go up Humbolt to the Mercado as well, but coming back, you have to walk. To the west, also about a 10-15 minute walk away, is the Mega supermarket. The central bus station (terminal centro) for Pullman de Morelos buses is only a few blocks away. I would definitely stay here again.
I enjoyed my stay in Cuernavaca. The apartment was exactly what Diana told me it would be. It was very comfortable and close to the historic centro, 10 minute walk at the most. Diana and Victor were very helpful and friendly. They gave me a map with local attractions highlighted. (Don't miss the Robert Brady if you are an art lover). I would stay with them again anytime on my return to CVA, thanks again D & V.
