17th century, self-catering, 1-bedroom apartment in beautiful Galatina Old Town, featured on Channel 4's 'A Place in the Sun'. It comfortably sleeps 2-4 people & is perfect for exploring the Salento, just a short drive to the Adriatic/Ionian seas.
EscapetoItaly: The 1 bedroom apartment is located in a 17th century palazzo in the historical heart of Galatina. It featured on Channel 4's A Place in the Sun with Amanda Lamb in 2007 and has since been beautifully refurbished by award winning 'Puglia Estates' (also seen on TV).
The property boasts original vaulted ceilings, 2 private roof terraces (spectacular views), a balcony over the cobbled streets, and right outside the door are shops, restaurants, cafes and gelato (ice-cream) shops open all year round! Stunning local scenery and only a short drive to either the Adriatic or the Ionian Seas make this an ideal location to take it easy and enjoy the dolce vita.
You will be greeted by our Property Manager (speaking perfect English or Italian) and we can even welcome you with a food pack to help you settle in.
The apartment has heating/air-con, DVD/CD, projector, fridge, freezer, dishwasher & washing machine.
Paul Nuzzo and Jim Cullingford bought the property on Channel 4's A Place in the Sun (filmed in 2006 and aired for the first time in April 2007). You may be able to see the show on Channel 4 on Demand (4oD), Series 5, Episode 3. You might also recognise Amanda Lamb, the show's presenter, in our profile picture (I hope she doesn't mind us using it!).
