The Plaid Room is one of three rooms at Vineyard Vista Country Getaway. A balcony and queen-size Select Comfort bed make this room a distinctive space to call your own as you travel or simply get out of the city for a while.
The Plaid Room is on the top floor of a three-level private home where the host also lives. It is across the hall from a bathroom. Space has been made in a small closet for garments that need to be hung.
The kitchen with its refrigerator and gas range located on the main level are available to guest who understand it will be necessary to clean up after each use. (Towels and a dishwasher are provided.)
The TV provided for this room is in the den on the lower level.
The deck, outside the kitchen door, has a table. chairs and views of part of the vineyard and Blue Ridge Mountain.
Most often Petsy will available to interact with guests.
The Plaid Room and the Coral Room share the upstairs hall bathroom. When only one room is reserved, the bathroom is for the exclusive use of the guest on that floor, but be prepared to share.
Effective July 1, 2017 the Warren County Board of Supervisors levied a transient occupancy tax for short term rentals in this county. This tax is 5% of gross paid to hosts by Airbnb for any short-term rental, room or space occupied by any such transient. Airbnb does not collect "local" or county taxes in the state of Virginia. Hosts are being required to collect this transient occupancy tax.
I regret any and all hard feelings collecting this tax may cause my guests. As I am not a business, I do not accept cards, but checks made out to Treasurer of Warren County or cash will be acceptable. Once again my apologies for talking about money, Thank you, Petsy
No smoking and no drugs. Food and beverages should be consumed in the kitchen or outside on the deck. It is almost necessary to wipe your feet on the mat and/or the towel as you enter. (Please remember, fowls roam the premises).

Widowed mother of two daughters and grandmother of two grown grandsons. Retired grade school teacher. I couldn't live without my glasses, my car, dish washer, the vacuum cleaner or my LadyBug steam cleaner. I really enjoyed visits to Jordan, Israel, Egypt, Greece, England, Ireland, Scotland, Denmark and St.Petersburg in Russia. I have a yen to see the five states of the United States I have not yet visited. The Bible is without doubt my favorite book. Other than that I enjoy light escape reading and I must admit to loving science fiction. I attend the local Summer Musical Theater and Sight and Sound in Pennsylvania. Food is wonderful! I love it all. I can watch TV when there is someone around willing to catch me up when I take catnaps.
I love to listen to people's stories. I make no attempt to be politically correct, I always have an opinion if anyone is interested, and I am truly not offended when someone disagrees and defends an opposing view.
