***PLEASE NOTE: MY HOME IS LESS THAN 1 MINUTE WALK TO BUS STOP. IF INTERNET DIRECTIONS DO NOT AGREE, THEN IT IS SHOWING YOU A DIFFERENT HOUSE.
I am a Pittsburgh native and I live in one of the city's oldest and most historic neighborhoods. I am a good host (or at least this is what I've been told). I enjoy meeting people from all over the world to my neighbor next door.
For more than two years, I've been hosting visiting professionals from many foreigns countries and areas of the U.S. in my home. I have learned so much by doing this and I enjoy it.
I prefer long term stays; however, I will not refuse one or two night stays when I have a room available.
My house is on 2 bus lines and very close walk to the bus stop. It's a quick bus ride to downtown and convenient drive to everywhere in Pittsburgh.
My neighborhood is city-like, friendly, active and safe, with a mixture of several ethnic cultures and people. There are several small grocery and variety stores to buy mostly everything you need within very close walking distance. There is also a variety of pizzerias, thrift stores, restaurants, parks, churches, taverns, etc. that are also in very close walking distance.
Excellent location for commuting to:
Allegheny General Hospital,
UPMC Children's Hospital,
West Penn Hospital,
Carnegie Mellon Robotics Institute,
UPMC St. Margaret's Hospital
