We live in a quiet neighborhood in North Asheville (with a 10 minute drive from downtown Asheville). Your room is separate from our living quarters. You will have your own entrance, key, bathroom, shower, mini-fridge, microwave, and in-room coffee.
-We live 5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I will provide you with directions on how to get there from our house! : )
-Our cats do not ever go into the space we rent through Airbnb! The room is separate from our living quarters. We have to walk outside and go downstairs in order to get to it. So, if you have an allergy to cats, you don't need to worry!
-The floor of the room is made out of stone/marble. It can be very cold! You might want to bring some slippers and/or extra socks.
-We do not allow guests to bring pets into the guest room. This is to prevent future guests from having allergic reactions.
-We do not allow smoking anywhere on the premises.
- Please do not burn incense, candles, or anything else. Thank you!
-I'm so sorry, but we do not allow children to stay in the guest room.
-The room is only for the person who books it and their guest (if the person who books the room states that there will be a guest joining them). Only 1 or 2 people may stay in the room. No outside guests, please! Thank you!!
-The room you will be staying in has its own entrance, but it is still connected to our house. It is not sound proof! We are able to hear loud noises coming from down there, so please try to be considerate, and we will definitely try to do the same! If we are making too much noise, or if our cats are making too much noise, please feel free to text or message us and let us know!
My name is Amanda. I live in Asheville, NC with my wife, Liz, and our cats, Molly and Neko. I was born and raised in Duluth, GA. Then, I earned a B.A. degree (in Women's Studies) from the University of Georgia. After that, I moved to Asheville and earned a K-6 Teaching License from the University of North Carolina Asheville. After graduating from UNCA, I worked for 4 years as a Teacher Assistant at public elementary schools in Asheville City/Buncombe County. Now, I am a 5th Grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher at a public intermediate school. When I'm not at work, I like to make art, go on walks, and read.
As an Airbnb host, I like to greet my guests (if we happen to run into each other, or if they request to meet me), and then I like to do my own thing! Of course, I am always available for any questions or concerns! Thank you so much for your interest! We hope to see you soon! : )
