Would definitely come back. House backs to Chalk Sound and is very peaceful. The beach across the street was great. Very laid back with a few amenities. Annis was a great host- was there for check in, and is a great resource for local knowledge. The restaurant next door at Neptune Villas was our favorite on the island. Great deck, service, and amazing food. We went all over the island and were really glad we stayed on Chalk Sound.
Chalk Sound is one of the most beautiful bodies of water I've ever seen, and this is on an island with abundant deep turquoise oceans. The restaurant just a few doors down Las Brisas (which is also Neptune Villas) offers kayak and paddleboard rentals on beautiful Chalk Sound. Also within walking distance is Sapodilla Bay beach (where you can rent kayaks/paddleboards) and also Taylor Bay Beach (by far the most beautiful spot for a sunset). Apart from these places, one requires a car to access the other parts of the island. The restaurant close by does sometimes get noisy at night. Occasionally there is some industrial activity which can be heard from the cottage. Also, there are many dogs nearby and they love to engage in barking matches. The area does happen to be among the windiest on the island, so if you are a light sleeper expect the wind to whistle through the little openings in the window (it does provide a nice breeze). The cottage was a little run-down, so don't expect the Four Seasons. This is nice for those that don't like staying at resorts. All in all, however, staying at this cottage #6 was very fun.
