This is The Log Cabin, 1 hr 15 min from Grand Tetons NP, 2 hrs 15 min from Yellowstone NP. The cabin is 1 room with a queen size bed, bunk bed, twin bed and a private bathroom with shower. There is a swinging bench and rocking chair on the porch. A hammock on the side of the cabin. Lawn chairs and a small deck with benches are nearby. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air and peacefulness of the area!
This cabin was an original cabin at Granite Creek Ranch. It has been remodeled inside and a private bathroom added. It is one of four cabins that sit close to Granite Lake.
We have a small community kitchenette that is shared between the four cabins. The kitchenette has a dining room with a fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. We offer a simple self-serve breakfast.
Granite Creek Ranch is a century old working cattle and horse ranch. Though just a couple miles off the highway it feels very secluded and is very peaceful. Come enjoy the natural beauty and fresh air of the mountains.
Guests have access to the area where they can enjoy hiking and fishing on 5 acre Granite Lake. We have picnic tables, an outdoor fireplace and grill for guests to use. Our ranch trails can be used for hiking and mountain biking.
We offer guided trailrides at a discount to our Airbnb guests. $35/person/hr for horse rides, and $25/person/hr for UTV rides. Children must be 7 years or older to ride the horses. Hand-led rides can be given for ages 2 to 7. Rides are available Monday through Saturday at nine or ten in the morning. Other times can be arranged with enough notice. Payment can be cash or card. Please let us know in advance of your arrival if you are interested! Closed toe shoes and long pants must be worn.
We offer guests a simple self-serve breakfast in our ranch kitchenette, which is shared by guests from all four of the cabins. Bagels, muffins, cereals, breakfast sandwhiches, milk, juice, yogurt, coffee, tea and fruit are stocked daily. A small refrigerator is available in each cabin so guests can store some items for the duration of their stay. We have space in the fridges in the kitchenette as well.
For lunch or dinner, Swan Valley (8 miles to the East) has a large service station, a couple of sit down country restaurants and a sandwich deli. Another option is to purchase hotdogs & buns and roast them over a campfire at the ranch, along with s'mores. We provide hot dog roasting sticks.
List of amenities guests have access to:
Hiking and biking on ranch roads and trails
Trail rides and UTV rides-must be scheduled
Canoes and fishing in the lake
Large outdoor fireplace area with benches
Outdoor grill and griddle
Picnic area with tables and chairs
Share kitchenette with fridges, microwave, toaster oven, hot plates and coffee pot
We will welcome you upon your arrival and show you around the ranch yard and to your cabin. We will also be 'around the ranch' during the entirety of your stay working with cattle or tending to the fields. At times we are very busy with ranch work and not able to visit with you as much as we would like! But we are always available by messaging. There is a folder in the cabin sharing our ranch history and other 'things to know".
PLEASE READ! At times we may have cattle in the corral for doctoring sick cattle or for moving from pasture to pasture. Also, the ranch horses are always hanging around the corrals most days. There are often wild animals seen on the ranch meadows and fields such as moose, elk, and deer.
Verizon cellular service works best on the ranch. Most other carriers work within a few miles. Actual grocery stores are an hour way; if you are planning additional meals be aware of this, and be prepared. Gas stations are within 15 minutes, 8 miles East in Swan Valley, and do have some limited groceries and supplies. Please read directions to our location very carefully.
There is a coin-operated laundromat 20 miles to the west of the ranch in a town called Ririe.
We usually have a ranch dog or two and some barn kittens who love attention, but please do not let them in your cabins or the kitchenette area.
Dogs and cats live on the ranch but no animals are allowed in the cabins or the kitchenette. Some people have animal allergies. No smoking inside buildings. Please treat the buildings and accommodations with care and be pleasant around people and animals. Our cabins are fed by water from a natural spring that functions by gravity flow. We ask that you use the water for showering and bathing conservatively.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.

I'm owner and manager of Granite Creek Ranch, a 4th generation cattle ranch where I also grow alfalfa, barley and wheat. I love being able to work outdoors and I enjoy creating a place where others can also come and enjoy the scenery, peacefulness and mountain fresh air. I like learning about different cultures and history as well as learning new skills and ways of doing things.
