We have created a personalised notebook, written both in English and in French, and which outlines our recommendations of the best restaurants, pubs, cafés, markets, parks, art galleries, cinemas and theatres, located both in Hackney and in neighbourhood areas. These recommendations are based on our own experience of living and working in Hackney for the last 7 years and has been constantly improved over weeks-end spent hosting friends and family from abroad. If we happen to be away during your stay, our lovely neighbour will make sure to greet you and to provide you with a set of keys and with all the guidelines and recommendations you will need to make sure you have the best experience.
We love Hackney and we take great care of our lovely flat which we have refurbished and done up in 2013. We will do everything to make sure that you have a fantastic time staying at our place.
We are asking guests not to smoke or to bring pets (because of allergies). We also ask guests to respect our neighbours (no loud music after 10pm).

We are a French-Australian couple who have been living in Hackney for more than 7 years. Chris is a documentary film-maker and Chloé is a theatre-maker and University lecturer. We met in Notting Hill 9 years ago, but very quickly moved East. We love our neighbourhood and have built a little community of like-minded creative friends in the area. We like hanging out in the many local parks, with our son, Gaspard, who is 18 months-old, and whose current obsessions involve eating blueberries and chasing dogs and squirrels.. We like walking, travelling, discovering new places and making new friends as a family. We like eating out and trying out new restaurants, and make the most out of the vibrant London cultural life, often going to art galleries and to the theatre.
