A step back in time in the quaint Tacoma Historical District. A magical home on the National Historic Registry. Cozy and comfortable, 42 amazing stained glass windows, wonderful artwork and antiques. A joyful place that accommodates up to 6 guests.
This in an historic home with many antiques and works of art from the Victorian era. The kitchen is somewhat of a shared space as the stairs to my part of the house are in the back of the kitchen next to the back door... and the basement-utility room stairs are in the main kitchen as well. The rest of the home is very private, including the parlor, dining-room, library, attic, bedrooms and bathrooms. The downstairs bathroom is a claw footed tub only... not a tub/shower. There is a bath on the two main floors, but not the attic. There are two bedrooms in the attic, but it is necessary to walk through one to get to the other.
Guests have full use of the courtyard garden with stained glass windows, fountain, lighted arbor, benches and tables. There is also a large front porch and private side yard with fountain and flowers.
Below the courtyard is another outdoor patio space with more sun and privacy...although it is close to the alley, with some "colorful" characters living behind...I suggest headphones for relaxing in this spot... just part of the urban experience :-)
I do reside on the property and so am frequently available at home and always only a phone call away. I spend some time tending the garden, especially during the warmer months and enjoy sharing it with (URL HIDDEN) don't mind me and don't be shy :-)
Available parking is restricted to immediately in front of the house... not in front of the neighbors. Unrestricted parking is available on both side streets less than a block away.
Absolutely no smoking or open flames inside the house. I want this home to be enjoyed by future generations. Smoking allowed in the lower garden only.
No loud parties and please be respectful of the neighbors.
Parking is restricted on the street, if you have more than two vehicles they will need to park at the public garage two blocks away. The parking restrictions are actively enforced.
The plumbing is over 100 years old. Everything works as long as nothing is put into the system that doesn't belong there...please don't use the garbage disposal.
I have a varied background...but have always been in a service and hospitality field. I have had restaurants and been both a chef and a manager so I love good food and great restaurants. I am now a Realtor and enjoy helping people find that perfect home at a great value.
I am new to hosting on Airbnb, but I have always loved old houses and cozy B&B's. It is a dream come true to have an authentic Victorian and to invite others to enjoy it with me!
I also love sailing and cruising and so have a trawler and a sailboat. When the house is all booked up I live on the boat :-).
As a cancer survivor I know every day is a gift and I love sharing my blessings with others.
