The apartment is in a really great location right in the middle of the city centre, yet is safe as it is gated and not on the ground floor. The apartment is within a really short walk of all major tourist attractions. The colleges DIT, Trinity, NCAD and NCI are very close by and the bus stop to UCD is right across the street. You won't need to spend extra money on taxis unless you choose to. Easy to get to and from the airport.
I have lived and worked in various parts of Dublin and I find Dublin 8 to be my favourite location to date. I won't promise you luxury (so if you want The Ritz don't book here), but I do offer comfort, very warm yet professional hospitality, great WI-FI, free laundry facilities, free car parking space, friendliness, flexibility, amazing location beside airport bus, Luas tram and Dublin bikes, access to utilities and free pick ups.
There is one parking space with the apartment. There is also on Street parking and a 24/7 four court car park beside the apartment.
I think this apartment (2 bedrooms and a large double sofa-bed in the living room) is ideal for couples or families or groups of friends visiting Dublin as it is already just a small few minutes away from many of Dublin's and Ireland's most iconic major tourist attractions: The Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Gaol, ChristChurch Cathedral and The Irish Museum of Modern Art, Trinity College, NCAD, DIT College.
Ideal also is its proximity to cafe's, bars and supermarkets. Within 3 minutes from my front door there are 4 supermarkets (Tesco, SPAR and Centra), 2 cafe's, 2 take-aways, a printer store, a weekend market and several other general stores.
All major tourist attractions are within an easy walking distance of this property. Any questions in advance please contact me. I am happy to help and want you to enjoy your stay with me as a host and I want you to enjoy airbnb, either as a new or as an existing customer.
Full apartment (if you book the apartment in its entirety). If you go for the cheaper option and book just one of the two bedrooms, you still have full access to: kitchen, bathroom, internet, and I am personally happy to meet / speak with you over the phone and offer travel tips and answer any questions.
I am happy to leave this entirely up to the guests. I will not intrude on your personal time and space if you do not wish me too, but if you would like to go for a coffee and pick my brains for info on Dublin and Ireland, I am more than happy to do so. I am easily contactable during your stay and I will check you in in person.
Get in touch with any questions. I'm happy to hear from you and happy to assist in whatever way I can.
I'm no tyrant but obviously let common sense dictate. I would kindly ask you do not damage, steal or disrespect the premises or pointlessly leave heaters on all the time (I'm a bit of an environmental conservationist and run a not-for-profit tree planting foundation). If you are a smoker I would request you smoke outside on the balcony terrace. I am happy to be of service to you and hope you have a very pleasant stay here. Unregistered guests or non-returned keys on time will result in an automatic loss of your deposit and potentially immediate cancellation by your host. Please respect my neighbours and do not play loud music, take drugs or disturb persons sleeping. The host will not accept any liability for injured guests or for persons who lose or leave items behind inside the apartment.
