If you wish to discover the beauties of Prague and have the experience of a local citizen, our apartment is the place you were looking for. You will stay in a historic building in the heart of the Old Town and can reach all the sights by foot.

We think that the best way of learning about a new place is through the experience of local people. That is, essentially, what we offer with our apartment. We have lived there until an opportunity for studying abroad came around, and we are planning to move back in a couple of years. Until then, we come back from time to time to visit our friends and relatives and to enjoy the city, and we offer the apartment for the use of those eager to discover the beauties of Prague.

The apartment is located on the second floor (two flights of stairs).

There are two places to sleep in our apartment. The double bed is on a deck in the main room (the living area with a dining table and a kitchen). The windows of this room are facing to Havelská street with the market. If you open the windows during daytime, you will hear the sounds of the market, but if you close the windows, they nicely block the noise. Two detached beds are located in a separate room with windows facing towards the internal balconies in the internal side of the house.

Our guests will have access to all necessities of an ordinary household. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher and all you need for cooking, baking and dining. If you are a coffee lover, you can either use our espresso machine (with freshly grounded coffee beans, makes late and cappucino too) or our italian mocca kettle. In the bathroom, you will find a washing machine and a hair dryer. All washing liquids are available for use, as well as shower gels, shampoos and conditioners, and a toothpaste. In front of the flat, on the internal balconies, you will find a small table with a couple of chairs that will accommodate you if you want to have coffee and breakfast outside, or if you are a smoker.

We usually stay in Portsmouth (where Eva works on her PhD and Tomas works at the University), but we are available online or on the phone nearly all the time. If you have any problems from getting lost on the way to our place, any issues in our apartment, or if you just need some advice, just send us a message on Aribnb or give us a call and we'll try to help as soon as possible.

Kitchen – our guests will find a wide variety of teas and coffee that they can use. Usually there is also some porridge, raisins and nuts for breakfast.

Bathroom – there is floor heating in the bathroom that runs between 7 - 9am and 9 – 11pm during the week days, and 8 – 10am and 10 – 12pm on Fridays and during the weekend (it can be switched on at any time).

Check-in/check-out times can be flexible.

It is a cultural habit in our country to change shoes when entering the house/apartment (we provide our guests with clean sleepers). We ask especially guests who wear shoes with black soles to change their shoes in order to protect our old but newly-renovated pale wooden floor from stains.

The general residential noise restrictions indicate that noise should be regulated between 10pm and 8am.

Our apartment is not appropriate for parties, as is indicated in the general description.

If you want to dispose of trash, we provide three separate bins - one large for general waste, and two smaller for paper and plastic. All paper wrappings, cartons and 'clean' paper (no used napkins or oily cartons) can go to the bin for paper. All plastic wrappings and bottles (including yogurt cups) can go to the bin for plastic. In the ground floor of the house, there are four types of bins: yellow for plastic, blue for paper, green for glass (any bottles with lids), and large black for general waste.

Being responsible to our city and country we live in, we adhere to all rules that apply to our accommodation. We pay tourist tax for you (already included in the price of accommodation) and as it is required by city municipality and police, we will need to send them details of your passport/visa number and other details.

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights. The location is perfect! Very close to old town and many restaurants/entertainment spots. There is a great open market right in what is essentially the backyard. We could walk to the supermarket in less than 10 minutes. Definitely consider this place for your stay in Prague!

Tomáš & Eva were very friendly and accommodating hosts. Their communication was outstanding! The apartment was charming, while big enough to accommodate our group of four. It is also an ideal location - we walked everywhere! I would definitely recommend to stay here while in Praha. Thanks, Tomáš & Eva!

Prague is an amazing city and this flat has a great location to experience it. We absolutely loved the way this flat was designed and the "treehouse" bed, which we ended up calling it, was very cozy. The windows are huge and light up the space both day and night with the lively pulse of the city and the market, just outside the door!! There are plenty of places to eat and the museums are just a short walk away. Really, everything is so close to this flat — the location is perfect. There were a few small issues with the flat that did add up and impacted our overall stay, but we hope that Tomas and Eva will address them for future guests: The side window was broken in when we arrived and was not fixed, but covered in packing tape (make sure keys are not left in the locks when the front door is closed); The house was tidy, but not clean and there were drainage problems in the bathroom; The courtyard is well-inhabited by birds that do leave their mess, and there was no lift that we could find. Tomas and his helper Lukas were helpful and readily available when a lightbulb burst a few minutes into our stay and electricity went out in the apartment. Lukas was there to fix it within the hour. Communication and check in were very smooth, and check out was simple as well. This spot is a quick 20 minute walk to the central bus station.

Eva & Tomáš were excellent communicators and very helpful with all of our questions before the trip. They were unable to meet us upon arrival, but their friend met us to show us around and give us some tips, which we was very nice and helpful. The location is excellent! There are lots of great places nearby and many sites are within walking distance, such as the Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. It was especially hot in Prague during our stay, and since the apartment didn't have air conditioning, it was too hot for us and we had to move to a hotel after the first night. Eva & Tomáš were very understanding and accommodating!

My cousins and I stayed here for two nights. Absolutely perfect location! Right in the heart if old town. Farmers market right outside the apartment and loads of bars and restaurants to choose from. The apartment let's in a lot of light which makes the space bright and airy. Would stay here again! Great price, comfortable, and best location!

Eva and Tomas' place is in SUCH a great location! It's a very comfortable space and felt like staying at a friend's place. After a week of travel prior to arriving, it was great to be able to use the washer/dryer to do some laundry! Although we did not get a chance to meet Eva or Tomas, their friend Lukas was was very nice, and was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived to show us the ropes. Thanks for a great stay - we loved Prague!
