-- Yes, we are marijuana-friendly. Respectful smokers only, please. Please dispose of properly.
-- No cigarette smoking in the house, please. Evidence of such carries a $500 fine.
-- IMPORTANT: Because of its beautiful forested location, the house can be prone to visitors. Welcome or not, they may invite themselves to your weekend getaway. Raccoons, squirrels, birds, mice, deer and other wildlife are often spotted in the area. House spiders are common in the winter months and box elder bugs, though harmless, arrive in numbers during the autumn and spring months. They are easily vacuumed away, but we want our guests to understand that they will be around during your stay, especially in windowsills. Please be aware of their presence when planning your trip, and please keep them in mind when deciding to rent our house. Please note we do not offer refunds for woodland creatures, as this house is located in the woods, and the creatures were here long before us. We also do not use harmful pesticides on this house, as they do not work on box elder bugs, which live in the trees of forest park.
-- Please note there are only two bathrooms in the house.
-- Please note there is no AC in the house, but fans are provided! This area also stays 10-15 degrees cooler than Portland, so if you open the windows and turn on the fans, the house cools in no time.
-- Please do let us know if you're bringing your furry friends, as additional fees apply. This fee goes to our cleaners, as ridding the house of pet hair is quite the task! Don't worry, it's only $35/per pet fee - it's very economical! The fine for not letting us know is $500.
-- We have a three-night minimum for week days and a four-night minimum for weekends.
-- Please note the fireplace is a real-wood fireplace. Yes, there's been some confusion. There is plenty of wood on the carport, and you're welcome to use it!
-- The five acres are very hilly, and can not all be accessed. The 3,000 square feet patio is the highlight at this house!
-- Please no smoking in the house, and please don't throw your butts in the forest. Kindly use the provided ashtrays outside! * Smoking inside the unit is PROHIBITED. If we find evidence of smoking inside the home we will impose a $500 fine.
-- Please take the trash/recycling to the end of the curb on Monday night to be picked up Tuesday morning. Trash is picked up twice per month and recycling four times per month. Please do your best to separate recycling from trash and spare our landfills! :)
-- Please take all perishable items with you upon departure - food items left in trash cans beckon woodland creatures of all kinds!
-- Please quiet down on the patio after 9:00pm. It's a private and expansive house, but please be courteous of our neighbors down the road - noise travels! Please note the first neighbor company gets a warning. The second comes with a $150 noise fee. The third complaint comes with an eviction of the party. Please don't make us do this - we want you to have (respectful) fun!
-- Absolutely no fireworks of any kind! Oregon is in a massive drought and we don't want to add a forest fire to the list. The forest critters thank you!
-- Please don't park on the street as it's too narrow - please use the provided parking spaces/carport. Our neighbors have our number and have been instructed to let us know if anyone is parked in their way!
-- If more than 6 cars, please park spillovers at the bottom of the hill and shuttle up. This is a strict rule!
