Only a 3 min walk from Machne Yehuda market, 10 min from the city center and less than 20 min from the Old City. A mix of restaurants, cafes, thriving bars and a great selection of shops. If you're after the authentic Jerusalem experience– lt's here
Ma'Ayan was extremely helpful and responsive! If it wasn't for her, we would have been left out in the cold (another host who had accepted our reservation was completely unresponsive so we had to cancel last minute). The apartment is in an excellent location, two minutes from a huge park, 5 minutes to the market, pretty close to the bus station, and about a 25 minute walk to the old city. Neighborhood felt safe. It is a bit cozy, not glamorous by any means, but the water is hot and the AC works :)
Ma'Ayan is a very welcoming host, though we did not meet in person, she was constantly able to answer any question i had through phone and give me tips in regards to the general area. The flat itself was very cozy and private. i'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a stay in Jerusalem at a reasonable price.
Ma'Ayan was nice and prompt to reply to my questions. She even sent easy instructions to find the apartment and keys. The location of the studio is great. Close to many restaurants and local spots. Travelers may keep in mind that this is a lived in AirBnB so personal belongings are apparent in the studio. Also, for those travelers who are light sleepers, this is a busy neighborhood. Other than that, it was a good location for a one night stay.
Ma'Ayan was very pleasant, although we only met her when checking out after a 6 night stay. The flat is marketed as a 2 bedroom and I indicated up front that my Son would be joining me. The second room is actually a small lounge and the couch was too small for my Son. There was no bedding arranged for him and we had to search in cupboards for this. There was no shelf space at all and we lived out of our cases. It seems that Ma'Ayan simply moved out without giving thought to comfort of her guests. The shower in the bath had no curtain or wall hook although there are rails for a curtain. That said, the flat was clean and the position fantastic.
Although we initially had trouble finding the place, Ma'Ayan was available over phone to help us sort out the right entrance. After this our stay was very nice for the one night we occupied. The place was cozy with a nice private outdoor patio. Also well located near the shuk and Gan Sacher. Thanks again!
