Discover a secret meadow and spend summers days in the heart of rural Norfolk with a thatched Iron Age round house as your living room with a Yurt as your bedroom. With wood burning stove and secluded location a perfect quirky retreat.
The most striking thing about the location is the Iron Age Round House, built in the traditional methods (but not all traditional materials!) set amongst living willow fences with a camp fire at its heart. Next to this is the yurt with the wood burning stove and bureau. There is gas cooking facilities in the Roundhouse and a large solar panel provides the electricity needs for running small items such as lighting and laptops, phone chargers etc.
Toilets are basic - there are two eco friendly compost toilets. Hot Shower facilities are now available. There is running water on an outdoor sink but this has cold water only.
If you are missing the internet (!), there is great signal for most providers at the farm via 3G.
Wood is provided for the stove in the yurt or a camp fire.
Please bring your own bedding and towels.
There is cooking facilities, but please do check the welcome booklet. Fire safety is important as both the Yurt and the Round House could be damaged by fire so we want to keep you and it safe.
We are very particular about Litter so all litter must be taken home with you or put in bins provided. (We also love recycling!)
There is a dog on site, but she wont be near the Roundhouse meadow. She is incredibly friendly around people of all ages. There is also chickens, cats, horses and ducks present on the farm.
Unfortunately we cannot allow any other dogs on site.
Smoking is permitted outside.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
We stay in the farm house down the field, which is some way away from the Round House meadow. We will be available but probably wont see each other unless coming and going from the site. If you need some help, just give us a call on the number provided.
