Austin is the live music capital of the world, so where else to enjoy SXSW or any other trip requiring proximity to downtown than in a music themed vacation home walking distance (1.5 miles or less) to the heart of downtown and Austin's other super cool shopping/dining areas.
Ever sleep on a TempurPedic wrapped in Egyptian cotton sheets with the blackout shades down after a long dip in a hot tub? It’s amazing. Seriously, you should come try it.
Not only is the house furnished with your absolute comfort in mind, but it's an attraction in its own right. Our goal is to make the hardest part of your stay deciding which awesome room to sleep in: Will it be the retro-cool Dean Martin room, the tongue-in-chic Dolly Parton room, or the super funk Lionel Richie room, each with genuine artist memorabilia… Hey, how about a night in each!?
Not ready for bed yet? Ping Pong, foosball, darts, or sandbag toss anyone? What about belting out your favorite song on the Karaoke machine, tinkering on one of the musical instruments in the living room, or exploring the extensive and eclectic record collection, this as you play one of the many board games? Worst case, there's always the 200+ TV channels including HBO in the living room and all bedrooms.
Though our place is an oasis for grown ups, it's well equipped for families as well. Banish your little treasures to the Pack n' Play, high chair, booster, or surprisingly comfy cot. Entertainment distractions provided.
The house is outstandingly equipped for business travelers, from the free high speed wifi (we subscribe to a gigabit service), to the printer, and ample work space (tables, counters, and 19"x28" Jesper adjustable workpad on wheels to work sitting or standing).
Whether you take in Austin’s very best just outside your doorstep, or stay in to enjoy the fun and luxury, there's only one way your stay will go at the Tune Inn and that is simply amaaaaaaazing.
There's ample parking in the driveway and along the street. If a closet/cupboard is not locked (the vast majority are not), enjoy it's space or raid it's contents.

In the spirit of adventure, my wife Lorraine and I have bounced around the globe indulging in some of our most revered pastimes like touring uniquely odd attractions or tracking down fine food and drink favored by the locals. We had the rare privilege to recently live abroad, the UK specifically. Some of our best memories were made during our tours through the British Isles and Western Europe by train, plane and sensible shoes.
Health and Fitness is very important for both of us, Lorraine in fact choosing it as a career path for 7 years as a Personal Trainer. Our active lifestyle supports our choice to be non-smokers, healthy eaters (most of the time) and thrill seekers.
We are both working professionals, I as a Major Account Manager and Lorraine as an Executive Assistant. After 16 years of commitment to my present employer, I consider many of my colleagues very dear friends. My wife and I are presently fortunate enough to work remotely for our respective employers, which affords us the opportunity to travel around the US more frequently of late, and minimize business travel keeping us apart!
With our home base in Austin, we indulge regularly in live music, unique cuisine, and keeping it weird (Austin's motto). Live music and unusual attractions often influence our travel, so checking out the smallest sailboat to cross the Atlantic in the Florida Keys, or appreciating an amazing performance by Tom Jones in Dallas, is time well spent in our book. We are seasoned and considerate travelers that truly appreciate AirBnb’s lodging opportunity as we continue our journey to see the world.
