Chez Marot is a self-contained, very comfortable, light and atmospheric one bedroom gite, or holiday home, in the stunning Dordogne countryside.

Set in a small hamlet 3 km from the village of Varaignes, with its shop and restaurants, Chez Marot is a very comfortable light and atmospheric one bedroom holiday home with a small garden, 2 terraces, stunning views and ample free parking with garage space for cycles and motorcycles.
There is a fully fitted kitchen/diner, a living room with a wood burning stove and TV with UK , French and German channels. Free wifi is available throughout. The spacious en-suite bedroom leads on to a private rear terrace with table & chairs, BBQ and sunloungers.
There is also a small utility room with additional W.C and washing machine.
Discover Brantome with its stunning abbey and an 11th century bell tower, canoeing and Friday market, only 40 minutes away. The lake and beach at St Estephe is 20 minutes away and the nearest city, Angouleme, can be reached in just 45 minutes.
This all makes for a relaxing break in the peace and quiet of the beautiful Dordogne countryside, with its quiet lanes ideal for walking and cycling.
The gite is self-contained with its own private terraces.
There is direct access to the owner's barn from the gite, for logs for the wood-stove, and cycle/motorcycle parking if required.
Guests will be left to enjoy their break in privacy, whilst knowing they can always ask for help, advice or information.
Free wifi is available throughout the gite.
Smoking is not allowed inside the property.
This is a one bedroom gite which cannot accommodate extra beds, so is unsuitable for children.
Pets are not allowed.

Sorry the profile picture is a bit out of date, but as these days I could be best described as "ruggedly ugly", I prefer to be on the other end of the camera. But as they say, "beauty is only skin-deep". I'm lovely on the inside - honest!
