Rob and his sweet wife have been the last hosts in our first AirBnB summer, and before their arrival we were a little worried: what’s the best way to host Americans from the Windy City, Chicago? What will be their expectations about their stay in Lake Como? When they landed off the taxi and turned the corner of our house ( “ La Puerta of the lake” courtesy of Rob ) we understood there wouldn’t’ be any problem, because we talked the same language and shared the same emotions. Looking at Rob in the sunrise wandering in the garden, grateful to life in front of the mountains while we were workin’ at our desks really touched us and told us AirBnB is something more than an earning opportunity: it may be a cultural and emotional adventure. Rob and his wife are free from stereotypes, a couple happy, smart and above all they recognize the true love: for people, for animals , for books. Maybe we’ll not see again, but we’ll write each other a lot. If you are truly AirBnB hosts, don’t’let this couple run away.
