The house is located down a easily navigated canyon road right off I-5.
The minute you start down the road to the house, all tension is gone and all your senses are awakened.
You will smell the lush vegetation, hear the sound of the babbling creek and the music of the birds. There is an abundance of wildlife to see including deer, squirrels, chipmunks, foxes, bald eagles, osprey, hummingbirds, hawks, and much more.
BECOME MINDFUL of the surroundings and take in the beauty.

The place is known for attracting musicians, writers, painters, artists of all type who have claimed it very inspirational.
For the sightseers & explores, the house is located at the center of
all the amazing places to visit in the Northstate. Bring your family or gather with friends to enjoy it all. Let the kids outside to explore the private and safe grounds.
You will find plenty of information and maps at the house with personal insight into the must-see places and the must-do activities in the local area. Bring your ATV or any off road vehicle to explore even more.
Dog Creek Bridge
Across Dog Creek at its junction with the Sacramento River in the Sacramento River Canyon.
Dog Creek Bridge is said to be one of the most artistic and spectacular structures ever built in California. Some of its artistic features are four benches built into the roadway bed of the bridge as a place for weary travelers to rest and enjoy the 360-degree backdrop.
Scenes from the bridge are breathtaking. Clearly visible from the bridge are the Sacramento River, Dog Creek, the railroad tracks and the surrounding hills. The bridge was designated a California Historical Landmark on May 29, 1984. It is public property under the protection of the Forest Service.

McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park
President Theodore Roosevelt once called Burney Falls the eight wonder of the world. This spectacular cascading waterfall is within McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State.
There are actually three levels to McCloud Falls: lower, middle and upper, each offering different views. Hiking to each of the falls is relatively easy.

It is 30 min. north of Redding so for those of you who want to get away from the valley heat..... Come up with your friends or families and enjoy a few cooler days in the forest.
Easy FWY access to head North to the Upper Sacramento River, Historical Dunsmuir, Castle Crags, Railroad Park (restaurant & resort), & Mt. Shasta. All within 45 min.from house.
If you want to venture further travel to McCloud,
The Klamath, Eel & Fall Rivers, Burney Falls, and many other lakes & creeks.
Head South to Redding for shopping, dining, cassinos, Water slides, and much more like 'The amazing Calatrava 'Sundial' Bridge'
Autumn visitors will experience the magnificent array of colors with warm afternoons and cool evenings.
Winter visitors can downhill or cross country ski, snowmobile, or sled ride.
I live locally.
I will greet you upon arrival to walk you through to answer any question or help with any special needs.
I will collect the 10% bed tax required by the County.

We want you to have an excellent time and enjoy your stay at the House by the Creek.
We ask, however, that you read and sign the following list of rules so that everyone – (including other visitors in the area and the local residents) – can have a pleasant time as well.
Please keep outdoor activity and noise to a minimum after 10 PM and before 8 AM.
Please refrain from smoking indoors. (We want to keep it fresh and odor-free for the next guests.) If you wish to smoke, there are plenty of nice spots outdoors on the decks or patios.
DISRUPTIVE & ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES
We cannot allow illegal activity of any kind, including underage drinking. If we receive complaints, the Sheriff will be contacted, and your group may be asked to leave, in which case your deposit will be forfeited. This also applies to excessively unruly or obnoxious behavior.
We are reasonable people, and we don't in any way want to hamper your enjoyment, but there are neighbors and other vacationers to consider.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT TIMES
Check-in time is 4:00 PM, Check-out time is 10:00 AM. These times must be strictly observed so that we may clean and prepare the house for the next group of guests.
There will be a 10% County Tax (TOT) collected upon arrival.
The host is required by the county to collect it. Airbnb does not include it in their rate because every county is different. You will be made aware of this before your arrival.
