Delightful cottage near Cromer with double room, garden and log burning stove.
My partner and I had a lovely stay at Nick's homely cottage over the carnival weekend. Nick is so welcoming and we were greeted with a cup of a tea and friendly chat, which was a really nice touch, and instantly felt at home. The room had everything we needed, and Nick had kindly left us some snacks as well as fresh flowers from the garden! The home cooked breakfast (including homemade bread!) was brilliant and a great way to start the day. The cottage is in a great location, just 15 minutes on a bus into Cromer, and a short-ish picturesque walk to the nearest train station. We were really happy with the whole experience and will be visiting again soon!
This room is located in a stunning area, a stone's throw from jaw-dropping cliffs and beautiful Cromer. The house is cute and clean, very British as well, typical historical cottage, also full of pieces of art. Nick is a very friendly and easy going person, we spent a lovely evening together in front of a fireplace in his living room chatting about everything and nothing. Totally worth to visit. At least for the lovely, proper English breakfast he offers in the morning.:)
The house has charm it's small and very bijou, taken to extremes in the bedroom. It's a makeshift single room with a double bed you have to climb over and no space for two people to actually dress. Room was a bit musty and the mattress is somewhat cheap and hard but with no support. Bathroom shared with host and his belongings. Mostly ok but the shower is poor, dirty and poorly maintained. Nick is nice enough guy and gave us a good breakfast but really he is pushing it with this one.
I did offer to remove the beautiful flowers at the base of the stairs as Andrew and his guest seemed to have a large collection of luggage for a one nights stay! The shower was clean when I just looked after their stay (as I don't use it myself). Have to say this is Airbnb not the Hilton. My guest would have been better off at the BNB in the village at £135 a night! You will see from reviews this is a country cottage with a shared bathroom.
