The flat exceeded all of our expectations. We were two families (two couples, two young children). The flat was clean and tidy, air con working perfectly, and ceiling fans installed in addition. For us, the best features were the proximity to the beach and pool and peacefulness of the entire complex. The beach, while being a rockier one, still had about four meters of sand near the water's edge at low tide, more than enough for the kids to play with, and the dried seaweed and small rocks after that was not uncomfortable with a beach towel over it. The rocks for the most part were softly rounded and water shoes helped us in exploring some of the beautiful rock formations around. The waters were wonderfully clean and clear and are not to be missed! The sea itself is very shallow for many meters, so it is warm and not scary for kids. (And contrary to other beaches nearby, there are very few and small waves). The beach itself is just at the end of the garden and you can see it clearly from the patio in the house, which is lovely.
The large pool area also just a two minute walk away, with sun loungers and parasols for guests already available, was also extremely pleasant. The nearby cafe, run by the hotel, is under the shade, and serves everything from Prosecco to coffees and light meals. It was useful and staff were lovely. We ended up spending quite a bit of time there, in fact. For future guests it may help to know that the house is actually considered to be part of the hotel and has a dedicated room number.
We all found the flat itself exceptionally well-stocked with enough cooking utensils and pots for several large meals in one day to get through. We enjoyed our meals in the indoor dining table or the larger outdoor one, even having a BBQ one evening with the great meats to be found at the nearby supermarket (where one can find everything from household items, beach toys and towels, to a range of Italian delicacies, good selection of ripe and tasty veggies and fruit, and a wide selection of wines, including very good local ones).
We had no problem with noise from upstairs, it was empty the first few days and when people arrived, all we could hear was occasional conversation in the quiet moments of the evening or meal times. For the most part, the spaciousness of the interior and lovely large terrace made us feel like we had the house to ourselves and we have fond memories spent outdoors in the evening quietly stargazing at the marvellously clear skies.
Many thanks to Alessandra (and Federico, though we didn't meet him) for clarifying any questions we had. Overall, we loved our stay and would be back in a flash if we get the opportunity to do so in the future!
