Newington is a much loved and sought after residential area in Edinburgh. There is lots of local pubs and eateries as well as one of the most beautiful scenic parks in the city adjacent to it, where as soon as the sun comes out the locals gather to enjoy the sunshine and play sports, have picnics, bbq's etc.
You will find shops on Clerk Street and various supermarkets and if you continue walking North for about 15 minutes you will find yourself on Princes Street, in the heart of The City Centre.
Excellent bus route to all around the city centre.
There are several buses from South Clerk Street which take you to all over the city as well as a couple of Taxi ranks and the Waverly Train Station is a short bus ride/taxi ride away.
In August I am looking preferably for someone to take the flat for a minimum of one week at a time. In the month of July I can be much more flexible.

You can access all around Edinburgh by bus and a short 5 minute bus journey down to Princes Street will see you arrive at the Waverly Train Station taking you all around the UK. The bus station is 10 minutes away by bus and from there you can get buses all over the UK and tour buses up to the highlands (also from the Royal Mile which is a 15 minute walk from the apartment).
The flat is ideally situated for the Old Town and its many tourist attractions and entertainment.
